Pax Jolie-Pitt wears Converse from MilkShop.com
Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, the newest son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, was dropped off, along with his sister, Zahara, 2, from daycare in LA on Monday. The little boy was wearing Converse All-Star camouflage high tops ($28), purchased from MilkShop.com. MilkShop.com has a variety of celebrity clientele, especially celebrity moms and dads buying for their kids.
Zahara once again wears her Adidas Kids Superstar II sneakers ($44).

I’m confused – is Pax’s surname Jolie or Jolie-Pitt? Because, unless I’m wrong, he was only adopted by Angelina so far (although I take Brad must have taken steps to legally adopt him, like he did for Maddox and Zahara).

Wow, daycare already? Pax should have consistent mommy/daddy/family time right now. I’m confused why these two would bring such young children, one of whom is very newly adopted, to daycare??

I think some daycare is good for them. I imagine being part of such a high profile family is pretty limiting for the kids. Angie/Brad just can’t do the same things other parents do with their children. And being home with only their siblings all the time isn’t healthy either. In my opinion, some time spent socializing them at daycare is a good move towards more well adjusted children.

I agree wholeheartedly madison i mean he is going to be school age this year so they are just getting him used to being around other kids which i think is smart on their part. Plus he will also pick up english that much quicker from being around kids than a tutor. plus this is one day it doesn’t mean they go everyday and stay all day . i happen to think this is a smart idea.

For God’s sake its only daycare. Millions of parents across America put their kids in daycare – all day long; 5 days a week which by all accounts is not what Brad and Angelina are doing. Its funny how when Angelina and Brad do it their parenting skills are questioned. They have nannies like thousands of other parents and again their parenting skills are questioned. Give me a break. No better yet give them a break. I’ve never in my 35 years on earth seen two people’s lives dissected and questioned like Brad and Angelina’s. Its as if everyone and their uncle thinks they know what’s best for Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and Pax except for their parents.

Since Brad and Angelina have a Nanny or mulitple nannies, I find it hard to believe that place was a daycare center. I am sure it does offer daycare but I wouldn’t be surprised if Brad and Angelina were really taking those kids to a class so they can interact with other 2 and 3 years olds while Maddox was at Kindergarten and Shiloh was at home with a nanny.

Janice: Well said. It constantly amazes me how many people there are who think they know what’s best for children they don’t even know.

First we had people complaining that the Jolie-Pitt kids were never around other kids, that they were “always” in a hotel or traveling with the family…NOW, there are some other “experts” who think spending a few hours with other kids is a bad idea. Please..these are two adults.. they know best how to raise their kids and I think they are doing a great job. They take turns working(how I wish my hubby and I could do that) and they also make sure the kids spend time playing with other children. They arent in day care every day all day, but It is good for Pax to be around kids in a classroom setting at his age. Having Zahara there is a good idea too.

Angie and Brad are such good parents, they are doing the right thing in taking Pax and Zahara to preschool so they can interact with other kids. Maddox is probably at school and Shiloh is still a baby.. too young to play with. How can anyone complain about this? Smart move. Lucky kids!

Alot of kids go to daycare and the interaction they get from being with other kids is healthy and for Pax he left an orphanage with lots of children so for him maybe having lots of kids around is his comfort zone.
However there is one photo where PAX looks scared to death from the paparazzi. I kind of feel though that he shouldn’t be thrust into the limelight so soon until he adjust. We never see Shiloh so why not leave PAX at home too for awhile. I notice the pics were taken in L.A. but they live in N.Orleans…so are they dropping kids off to random daycare centers?? And by the way where has Maddox been? I rarely see his sweet face.

Janice, YOU ROCK! Couldn’t say it any better!

JM- I respectfully disagree with the “we never see Shiloh” comment. Check out the most recents pictures from New Orleans. There are pics of Shiloh without her siblings but with her parents, pictures of Shiloh with Maddox and Grandma, pictures of Shiloh and Zahara with their parents, pictures of Shiloh with just her father on the movie set and pictures of Shiloh and Zahara with their Grandma. The Jolie-Pitt child the public hasn’t seen much of lately is Maddox.
This is the first time we’ve seen Pax since they left Vietnam and the pictures were snapped by paparazzi. I doubt his parents wanted his picture taken. This is no different than the paparazzi pictures taken of Shiloh when the family was in India. The paparazzi gotlucky is all.
Oh and to answer your question about the day care. My understanding (someone please correct me if I’m wrong) is that Brad is shooting scenes for his latest movie (the one also filmed in New Orleans) in LA. Since they’ve been together the family follows the parent who’s working.

The issue I see with the daycare doesn’t relate to any child going to daycare but rather a newly adopted older child who came from an orphanage. The prevailing wisdom with older child adoption is that it is important for the child to have time in the home with their parents to establish the parents as primary caregivers. This creates a healthy attachment, which children living in orphanages may not have had.

Amy – I see your point but since none of us know how much or how little time Pax spends in a day care setting or how well he’s adjusting to his new family, I don’t see how anyone can judge his parents based on one picture. I guess my point is his parents are doing what they think is best for their children. We, the public whether we agree with their choices or not are just back seat drivers.

we cant please everyones brain….ouch!

Sometimes they start it early because some daycares offer preschool programs.
It can also help with potty-training (note Zahara’s diaper… she’s almost old enough to think about PT) because peer pressure helps.
For Pax, he has to learn English… submerging him in it by putting him daycare would really help with that and it may be that they have him and Zahara together so he won’t be alone… he’ll have his sister.

Um, am I the only that is totally confused as to why CBB is already referring to Pax as Pax Jolie-Pitt? I mean, right now, his name is Pax JOLIE! At the time of this post, there hadn’t even been an official annoucement that Brad and Angie were indeed going to change his name to Jolie-Pitt. Now, of course that has been announced. However, I have noticed some other recent CBB articials (I cannot remember the specific ones right now) that, like this one, referred to him as Pax Jolie-Pitt. I mean, yeah, now we do know that, as of May 31, that will be his name. However, it is not his name yet, so he should still rightfull be called Pax JOLIE!
