Kim Basinger hired bodyguard for daughter, Ireland
Kim Basinger has taken new measures in protecting her daughter, Ireland, 11, after her father, Alec Baldwin’s voice mail tirade last week. Kim’s spokeswoman, Annett Wolf released the following statement,
Kim did hire security in response to the media attention on her daughter in order to allow Ireland to maintain her regular routine and activities uninterrupted.
It is also being reported that Los Angeles Superior Court has temporarily suspended Alec’s visitation rights after hearing last week’s voice mail tape.

I don’t agree with the way that he (Alec) handled the telephone message to his daughter last week. I think that it was out of control. But in my opnion… how many of us have our faults and our arguments leaked to the public? If some of the conversations that we have in our own homes got leaked… what would people think of us? I think the whole situation is really sad… sad that he felt that betrayed by his own daughter, and sad that his daughter’s mother felt a need to leak a message to the public. And now to have to hired a body guard… what did she expect would happen. That is a matter that should have stayed within their family, and court if need be, but the more we focused in on their faults, the worse for Ireland. I wish them the best… coming from someone who has had to battle in the courts.. it’s best to KEEP THE KIDS OUT OF ADULT ISSUES… on Kim’s end and on Alec’s end… I wish them the best.

Wow, Ireland seems really tall for a nine year old! Beautiful too. Her parents think they are hurting each other, but, they are only hurting her. Sure we rant and rave to our kids, but, his comment was way overboard and uncalled for.

I just read on Yahoo! news that Kim, through her spokesperson, denied leaking the tape and that leaking the tape didn’t violate any court order.
I don’t believe that, who else would leak a private voicemail message on either of their phones?
I agree that Alec shouldn’t be allowed to see Ireland b/c he’s a madman and a selfish person. Using Ireland b/c they both hate each other is pretty pathetic, too. Between Kim and Alec let’s hope this girl doesn’t end up hating both of them.

Alec was really really wrong in that story…but there’s something really strange about this… I mean, why her mother made all this public?? I don’t get that I’m sorry! Is it a good way to protect your child? I mean…now all her friends are aware about that, her teachers, everyone! I’m not sure it’s a good thing for this girl, especially with all that happened between her parents ,the battle for custody…
I’m sorry to say that…but I think Kim Basinger did this to get the upper hand…
