"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Big Brother winner Reggie welcomes daughter

2003 Big Brother winner, Regina "Reggie" Bird, and her fiance, Dale Sorensen welcomed a baby girl on March 31st. The little girl has been named Mia Regina Sorensen. Reggie and Dale talked to Woman’s Day about the pregnancy, motherhood and their plans for more children.

Mia has brought Reggie and Dale closer.

It’s weird but Mia has definitely brought us closer together.

They didn’t find out the sex of the baby and her being a girl was a surprise.

We didn’t know what we were having but I thought I was having a boy. In the beginning, when we had the scans, I thought I saw a penis. But it must’ve been the umbilical cord, I didn’t want to know but on that day I swore I saw something.

Reggie had a tough pregnancy, saying that she had ‘all-day-all-night sickness’ and as a result was admitted to hospital for dehydration.

At seven months the sickness eased off, and then towards the last month it came back again, just like it was in the beginning.

Mia was born via emergency c-section. She was breech.

It was horrible. It was terrible. They didn’t get the needle [epidural] in first go. So they were trying to get the needle in and I was swearing my head off. They told me it was going to be painful – so I cried all the way through it. It was much worse than I expected. I was so scared because I thought I would be able to feel them cutting me open. It’s weird because you’re numb but you can feel them pushing you around.

More kids?

Oh, God! Baby number two? At the moment, no! If I hadn’t had such a horrible time with this pregnancy I’d do it as soon as I got better, I would like to have another baby close – I don’t want them to be too far apart. But at them moment, adoption is looking good.

Continue reading for more photos of the family. For all the people outside of Australia who don’t know who Reggie is, watch this video, to get an idea of her personality. She is absolutely hilarious!

I love Mia’s little pink skirt. It’s adorable!

  2. Hille Says:

You know what’s funny? Mia Regina means My Queen in Italian. LOL
    The baby is cute, though.

  3. Victoria Says:

That type of sickness is called Hyperemesis Gravidarum. I wish it was more talked about publicly, and not compared to typical 1st trimester queasies. I empathize with her very much in that.

  4. Vicky Says:

Reggie, I would like to congratulate you on your little treasure. Hope she brings you much joy. You deserve it. I was at the final Big Brother show and saw you win. I loved you in it and would love to see you in maybe Big Brother All Stars, if they have that one day. Cheer, and best of luck for the future. Vicky
