Ellen DeGeneres’ tribute to moms
Comedian Ellen DeGeneres said on her show on Tuesday that she was going to be doing a special Mother’s Day episode with an audience composed entirely of pregnant first-time moms. Ellen then said that she’s got something in common with her future audience of pregnant first-time moms, and that she’s going to make a big announcement on her Mother’s Day show.
This has gotten fans buzzing that Ellen and her girlfriend of 3 years, Portia de Rossi, might be expecting a baby. Guess we’ll just have to wait for the show to see!
The Mother’s Day Episode is scheduled for filming on May 9th.

I think it would be more or less that they’re adopting rather then she’s expecting. She seems to ask alot of questions about adoption when she’s got celebs on that have adopted.

I can’t wait to hear the announcement! I’m hoping its not something like “we all like free things!” but rather “we’re expecting too!”. They seem like a wonderful, loving grounded couple. I agree with the above poster about Ellen and Portia adopting rather than birthing a child. Ellen and Portia have joked before that neither of them would carry a child.

I think it is wonderful for Ellen to become a parent. Her view on life( like seeing the best in people and remembering to laugh),makes our world a better place. A child deserves to be loved by someone like Ellen. I hope the rumor is true. If not, maybe at a later date.

ellen says things all the time that makes us think ooo i wonder if portias pregnant, so considering its ellen i think shes going to announce something like ‘ i hate changing sirty diapers. though i have all my fingers and toes crossed that they’re expecting a little one, especially after the recent barbra walters interview.

wow! I do hope that Ellen and Portia have finally made a decision regarding this. Ellen was right when she said that there are lots of unfortunate orphans around that could benefit from their love and care, but going through AI is not bad too. I just wish them all the best.

or maybe,Ellen will announce that she got a new puppy, or one of her pets are now pregnant.I dont think Portia will ever want to carry.and if she did, she’s serious about Ellen.but Ellen’s better off with a man.She should be the one who is being taken care of, and hugged, and i dont know.
