"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Rumor: Tom wants Katie to take ‘mommy classes’

Tags: Rumors

Us Magazine is reporting that Tom Cruise would like his new bride, Katie Holmes, to start taking ‘mommy classes’ through the Church of Scientology.

A source close to Katie said:

Katie was quite offended by that. Can you imagine when you’re 28 and have your first child to be told you need to go to this church to become a better mom?

Apparently, this is nothing new. Us is also reporting that Tom has had Scientologists ‘minding’ Katie ever since the two began dating. The source also said that Tom has replaced his entire staff to make sure that it consisted of mainly Scientologists to be sure ‘nothing is said or done that would be critical of the church.’

Tom and Katie’s daughter Suri, just turned 1 year old last week.

Well this sounds like the usual rumours of Tom stealing Katie’s shoes and breaking up with Katie. But web mistress, should such rumours be on your site which I love visiting and I always consider authentic, unbiased and always accurate and informative? You alos wrote about a rumour of Shiloh and Angelina which I found inappropriate since it also came from these inaccurate magazines reputated for untrue stories. Sad.

If something is a rumor, it’s always titled and categorized as such so people know to take it with a grain of salt. Re: The Angelina post, the MamaPop webmistress would be the person to talk to about that – that’s not our content.

Sounds like a VERY controlling husband. I never liked Tom Cruise anyway, never got why he was considered “sexy”. Anyway, I think he’s a classic example of Napoleon Syndrome…

  3. jen Says:

Oh..if only we could all be as perfect as Tom! Her self esteem must be so low, having your husband and his scientologists watch and correct her every move.

  4. sil Says:

    OMG….that man is crazy

  5. Candice Bell Says:

I wish Tom Cruise would stop obsessing about “Scientology” to the public. I believe it has hurt his career, since his stint with Matt Lauer and Oprah Winfrey.
Then he marries a very impressionable young woman (Katie Holmes) and insists that everyone around her is a Scientologist, everywhere she goes she is with a Scientologist and now saying she needs to take “mommy classes” at the Church of Scientology is totally absurb.
Katie will get tired of all this (if she isn’t already!) and leave him.
Tom is a “control freak” and I know why Nicole kept her distance from the Church of Scientology and did not listen to him.

i think tom cruise needs some mental help.

  7. Greg Says:

US Weekly has been mudslinging this couple for months.

The truth is that parenting classes are available at any Scientology center, and are a pretty good idea for any young couple, especially facing their first child.

However, being a Scientologist myself, I know that the garbage that US Weekly writes is not true. The courses are not “remedial” and are offered as a service to parents. Nothing about it has a negative connotation.

It is bewildering to me that US Weekly would take something as trivial and benign as a young mother taking a parenting class and manage to turn it into something ugly. (I sort of admire the breadth of their imagination. If only they used it for good instead of evil!)

i’d be wary of “sources”. i always interpreted them as someone who works in the magazine office, follows the celebs around, or is a friend of a friend of a friend. often the sources or “insiders” don’t know the celebs at all, just like to document/ comment on their lives and the people in it. u’ve seen those entertainment shows on tv-those people are always rather OUTSIDERS than “insiders”.my rule-if it doesn’t name the person as knowing tom, ie tom’s friend mr x,take it with a grain of salt.

  9. MuffThumb Says:

Katie’s in Louisiana filming a movie right now. when she will have time for “mommy” classes, i dont know.

Just an FYI: there was a rumor tom chose Katie’s new movie for her, because there is no male lead for her. Today, set pictures were released of Katie and her co-star getting quite cozy for the cameras. ;)

  10. sil Says:

Greg, with all respect, you should not be using this web to introduce people to scientology, i think is ok to post your thoughts but why the web page at the end of your comment????

  11. Greg Says:

    Sil,
I am not sure on which authority you tell me what I should and should not do.

Secondly, this article chooses to spread disinformation on my Church, and I choose to respond to it. That’s all.

The link in my signature is a link to my own site. I run it, and I include it as part of my sig.

    Sincerely,
