Rumor: Jake Gyllenhaal head over heels for Reese and her children
Life & Style is reporting that actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who is reportedly in the early stages of a relationship with soon-to-be divorced actress/celebrity-mom Reese Witherspoon, is not only falling for the Oscar winner, but is already head over heels for her two children, 8-year-old Ava and 3-year-old Deacon. A friend of Reese’s says,
Jake loves those two kids. He’s is so good with them. He loves kicking a ball around with Deacon, and he even lets Ava play hairdresser with him.
Jake, a celebrity uncle to sister, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal’s daughter Ramona, and celebrity-godfather to his former costar Heath Ledger’s, daughter Matilda, has mentioned his desire to be a father and may be considering the role of stepfather. According to Reese’s pal, he reportedly told the actress, "I want to be a part of your family." One of the things that Jake find most attractive in Reese is her exemplary mothering skills, a Gyllenhaal family friend says. The pal adds,
Jake’s impressed by how wonderful she is with the kids. He’s told his friends how much he admires the good manners she’s instilled in her kids.

I am not sure I buy this since People magazine had a source a couple weeks ago in a story about Jake and Reese who said that meeting the kids was “sacred” to Reese. I don’t think Reese would change her stance that quickly. Reese is a very smart woman who is coming of a divorce. She has to know that it would be wrong to let her kids get attached to a new boyfriend of hers when there is a chance that this could turn out to be a rebound relationship.

I think Reese and Jake would make a perfect couple. They have so much in common and are so alike in terms of personality and values. I’d love to see them end up together.

This one is not at all true. Life & Style is one of the worst rags out there about just making stuff up. Jake and Reese aren’t even a couple.

I’m sure he would be thrilled to meet her kids, possibly fall in love with them, but I don’t think he has just yet. Life & Style spins some of the most wildest rumors–some that are just too out there to believe.
But I wouldn’t doubt he’d fall in love with Reece’s children. As much as he’s in love with his baby niece, I’m sure he’d get along great with Ava and Deacon.

I agree with Steph. I’ve read all over the internet that this relationship is a PR stunt for their movie. They seem like nice people, I just don’t believe they’re a couple.
