This is the first picture I’ve seen of Brad and Pax together! It’s blurry, but I’m glad to see it nonetheless. I love how Brad and Angie are always carrying their kids. I think it’s especially beneficial for Pax to be carried, because I doubt any adults at the orphanage he was at had time for piggy-back rides or any of that. I believe the theory that there’s long-term benefits of physical contact in the early stages of life.

I’m feeling sorry for Pax–think about the adjustment he must be going through adapting to a new home and family, and then to have the paps everywhere they go, it must be so hard for him.

I agree with the holding thing. It is very good for them.

What are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie going to do when the kids are in school fulltime? They can’t be traveling the world every three months to shoot a movie. Although I am not an expert on children, I think that they should have a stable environment that includes a home (not a hotel- if that is where they stay in these foreign cities). By the way, does anyone know where they live in the US? Where is their house, and do they acutally LIVE there? Hopefully they will settle down soon.

I’m happy for Pax. Yes his life is definitely more exciting. Yes, there are paps following them everywhere which must be very annoying at times. That’s the downside of being famous. But what Pax also has now, is a family who love and support him. He has opportunities he’d otherwise never have had. He gets to see places that most of us will only ever see on TV or on photographs. When he gets sick, he’ll have the best care. He’ll get a great education – he won’t have to drop out of school early and take some arduous, underpaid job because he doesn’t know how else to survive – like so many other people everywhere in this world. Pax’s life will be free from such worries. When he grows up, he can be anything he chooses.
Apart from all that, how can anyone feel sorry for the Jolie-Pitt kids? That family is simply amazing.

Stephanie – They have a house in New Orleans as well as one in the LA area and yes, they do live there.
I’d heard rumors that the Jolie-Pitt family had bought a yacht or something as well for traveling. And I’m sure that if they live in a hotel, it’s not like the typical ones we’d be staying in!
They also might have private tutors for Maddox…
Angelina has said in the past that Maddox has had a teacher/tutor since he was 3.

Maddox has had a tutor, and the sad reality is this: both of the kids’ parents shoot movies. Both of their parents often travel out-of-country. But when they do travel, they go for long periods of time in one place, so I think that helps a lot. And the ‘hotels’ they stay in are really quite similar to houses.

When Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were married and their kids were young, they lived the same lifestyle and I’d say their kids have turned out pretty well thus far. Of course I don’t know them but by all accounts they seem like well adjusted, mature young adults. I absolutely agree that children need stability but that can come in many forms and in many geographies. Kids who live 365 days a year in a split level ranch in middle america can be just as screwed up as those who move around b/c of their parents careers.

I think Brad is a wonderful father and glad to see him bonding with Pax.
Now that said, I have to agree about poor Pax. The kid is just getting used to one place after being taken away from the only home he’s ever known. He’s with literally “strangers” to him (who call him a different name as well)and he probably doesn’t speak any English so he most likely doesn’t even understand them…his poor little head must be a bit in the clouds and he must be overwhelemed. He’s only 3 for pete’s sake.
Now, they shuttle off to Prague for a month? Do they not think? Poor Pax..I feel horribly for him, he must be so confused.

Actually there are pics of them at a park in prague wed and brad, mad, and pax are playing i think soccer he seems to be adjusting quite well. i think they know what they are doing from all accounts the people that i have talk to from my home town of NO say that the kids are very well behaved, sweet, and happy.I think they seem to be great parents.

I don’t know what really goes on in Will and Jada Smith’s home but their lifestyle is not that much different from the Jolie-Pitts. Will has said his kids have grown up on tour buses and movie sets and where he and Jada go the kids follow. So far, their kids seem ok and so far the Jolie-Pitts kids seem to be doing ok too. This lifestyle whether you would want it for your kids or not is not unusual in Hollywood.
I don’t feel sorry for Pax at all. He once lived in an orphanage without parents to call his own, with very little hope of getting an education and with very little hope of learning a trade once he was released from the orphanage. Who I feel sorry for are all the children all over the world who will never have parents who love them and provide for them. Pax, like Maddox and like Zahara are the lucky ones. Not because they are rich but because they have parents who love them.

They have rented a villa with gardens in a beautiful part of Prague (accross the river from me), they are not living in a hotel and are here for about 5 weeks.
