No kids for George Clooney
George Clooney is set to spend another summer in his Italian Villa in Italy, only this time, no children allowed. George joked to OK! Magazine about who will be visiting him.
Brad [Pitt] will, but I’ve told him he can’t bring his 15 children.
When asked whether he would be having kids of his own one day, George said,
I’m so selfish and I get nervous around kids, and I know I’m not ready for that kind of life. I’ve settled into a very comfortable lifestyle and I really don’t want to change things. I’ve learnt enough about myself to know that my work is the main thing which drives me and whatever woman comes into my life is going to have deal with that, which isn’t easy.

George has always been very honest about not wanting children of his own. While I couldn’t imagine a life without my children I also know that kids just aren’t for everyone. Too many children are brought into this world by people who never really wanted them and they go through miserable, loveless childhoods as a result… I respect George for his decision, it shows that he is a responsible person.

I love when people know themselves well enough not to feel pressured to have kids. Children are not for everyone.

Oh George, I love you but if we are going to be together you must want kids. ;D
If he actually had a child, I think he would feel differently. A lot of people are scared because it is such a big step.
Go for it, George!

I think if a person knows himself/herself well enough to know they don’t want children, they should be commended, not pressured into changing their minds! My grown sons both know they don’t want children, and I told them, “Good for you!” If they had children, they would just resent the time it takes and money they’d have to spend, etc. I think I would end up having to (mostly) raise my grandchild(ren) and I don’t want to do that…I’ve raised my kids–that’s enough for me! I’m almost 50 and now is the time in my life to do what I want to. When you moms all get to where your kids are 16 or so, you will be SO ready to have time to yourself, go out without your kids with you, and have time alone with your spouse. You don’t think so now, but you will!
George Clooney knows he’s selfish and knows kids would cramp his style, so why is he always being slammed or almost constantly asked about marriage/children? I say more power to him. He has the right to live his life the way he wants to. Kids are not always the be-all and the end-all in life.

Good for him. More people should know themselves that well. My sister feels the same way and I support her 100%. Although, I must admit, it’s a sad waste of perfectly good genes, George.

That is o.k., as long as he can find a woman
who shares his desire to not have children.

Yes, he has said this quite a bit in the last few years.
Anyway he is so unbelievably handsome, and talented.

I agree with George, if he doesn’t want kids, why having them? It’s he’s choice! That doesn’t mean he doesn’t like kids, it’s just that kids aren’t for him, if you know what I mean. Of course, maybe if he had one he’d change his mind, almost certainly, but maybe he doesn’t want to change his mind. Anyway, good for him, who knows what he wants and himself so well.
PS.: imagine a son with his face, how gorgeous hahahahahahah

Ahem, Georgy… Who told you that’s not easy to deal with
I agree with you who wrote that children are not for everyone. That is a well proven fact and I’m very glad that George is a down to earth person who knows what he wants and what he doesn’t want. Thumbs up for him all the way
