Worried dad Bono unhappy with apartment
Wafting smoke has drawn the ire of Bono, prompting the U2 frontman and global activist to lodge a complaint with the co-op board of his Manhattan apartment building. The fireplaces in the building — called the San Remo — are notoriously troublesome according to the wife of one board member, who said Bono’s primary concern was smoke aggravating the asthma of one of his four children.
Bono was so nice. He said, ‘Listen, whatever I can do to get these things working, but it’s emptying into my apartment and I can’t have smoke like that.
Bono and his wife Ali purchased their penthouse duplex for $14.5 million in 2003. The couple have four children, Jordan, 18, Memphis Eve, 15, Elijah, 7, and John, who turns 6-years-old next week. It is unknown which child suffers from asthma.
