Giggle Bug Toddler Tracker: Keep Your Kids Safe
The Giggle Bug Toddler Tracker Device is a absolutely great idea. How many times do you wish you had a GPS system on your wandering toddler? Whether your little one tends to run away in the department store or enjoys a good game of hide and seek at home, this device is gong to help you find them in seconds.
The Giggle Bug, which retails for $20, is a small plastic ladybug shape. It comes in red, yellow, pink, blue or green and clips onto the back of your child’s shirt. It is designed for kids 18 months to 6 years old. You can activate it with the click of a remote. It works on the same principle as a cordless phone handset finder. The range is 75 -100 feet indoors and 100 + feet outdoors. When the parent or caregiver. An 85 decibel "beep" and the eyes on the giggle bug will blink.
When I tried it out, I attached it to my 18 month old son’s shirt. Ben knew something was on him, but couldn’t figure out where it was and why he was beeping. I was able to activate his tracker instantly by pressing a button on the activator fob (that attaches easily to your key ring).
The actual sound of the product is annoying and really hard to turn off. (Though if your child is missing, you’re not going to care what it sounds like!) However, I wish there was a second setting, another tone, that’s a little easier on the ears (when you just want to see where your child is for a second) and that I could shut if off with the activator fob. My son likes to hide in our apartment and with an easier on the ears tone, I would use it at home too.
The Giggle Bug will definitely be in my diaper bag for outings – my little man wants to be more independent now and the Giggle Bug will be a great way to make sure he’s safe. To purchase the Giggle Bug, click here.

I just read the cutest book to my 15 month old son. The title was Ladybug Baby Bug. He can’t read yet, but the colors and illustrations in this book draw and keep his attention. My 3 year old also likes the bold, primary colors. The book is oh-so cute and has a great message about love of family and how family members care for one another. It’s a “must have”. I got my copy online at Barnesandnoble.com.
