Since John is a scientologist, he does not believe in Jesus Christ or Christianity and hence is probably not moved by prayers of any sort.

Kelly does look a lot like Mary-Louise Parker. Jett was such a handsome boy. He looked so much like John.

Just heartbroken to hear of Jett’s death. He seemed lost in this world. I hope he will be at peace. I am sorry that John and Kell has suffered such unimaginable loss.

I was so saddened to hear of the death of Jett Travolta. My heart goes out to his parents and sister. As a mother of two I cannot imagine how they must be suffering. I think sometimes we need to be a little more tolerant of peoples belief’s and life choices. Its obvious from pictures that they love their children. We are all entitled to privacy and if they chose not to share details of their son’s illness , it could simply be the fact that it was to painful for them to talk about. I don’t believe in the COS but like everyone else in the United States they are entitled to freedom of religion. My heart and prayers go out to them . May they find comfort in each other.

Who gives any of us the right to diagnose someone elses child that we have never met. They seemed to love thier children very much and I am sure they tried to do everything they could, his diet, the house, and who knows what else. Just as most loving parents would. Maybe we should keep our rude comments to ourselves.

I was saddened to hear about the death of Jett. I had to find a photo of him and this is where I found one. I was reading the comments and just found out he might be autistic.He is built and looks alot like my son does. My son is autistic and also 16 years old. I couldn’t imagine living my life without him like they are going to have to. Regardless of the reports that they didn’t acknowledge that Jett had autisum and didn’t get him help from doctors for it. That wouldn’t have saved him that day he died. I would have liked to have known that they did have an autistic child though. It’s not something to be embarrasssed about.

I am the same age as John Travolta and have followed his career. He is talented in many ways. I follow a different spiritual path, but I have read RL Hubbard. There is nothing false about the basic tenets of scientology. I personally balk at all Dogma. I love Oprah. Such a close friend of hers must be a great guy. Period. I have a son who looked so much like John, by the time he was a teenager, that people might have speculated about his paternity, if they didn’t know us. People constantly told us how much he looked like John Travolta. He looked much more like John, than Jett, at 16. I guess, loving my son might even prejudice me.
But, we also ended up adopting and raising 2 grandchildren, in our late forties. Our grandson, who we got at 1 month, was disabled with cerebral palsy and also had a history of seizures. We fought a continual battle, first trying to get an accurate diagnosis and THEN trying to find ANY kind of helpful therapy. On October 13th 2008, our precious 5 yr old “son” passed away, in his bed. I have nothing but empathy for John and Kelly. I was saddened to read so much angry critisism of and ignorant speculation about the Travolta family. I only wanted to see a recent picture of Jett, to try and make a sincere, emotional, psycho/spritual connection and send them some healing energy. I hope now that Jett has passed, some of you will check yourselves.

Not every autistic child has a problem with touching. I have a 7 yr. old nephew who is autistic and loves to hug. And he is not mildly autistic. My sister in law also denied that her son was autistic that his lack of social skills was due to him being a boy in a family with two older sisters. Unfortunately, it took her death from cancer earlier this year to open my brother in law's eyes and he finally brought his son to specialists. If you refuse to accept diagnosis and get early treatment, what are you setting up your child for later in life? My nephew was denied early intervention and he is low functioning. I feel bad that if Jett was diagnosed with Autism that the Travolta family accept it and get him the help he needs. It may be too late for him due to his age.
