Judd Apatow casts daughters, wife in new film
If you saw Knocked Up over the weekend and thought actress Leslie Mann bore a striking resemblance to her two on-screen daughters, you weren’t just seeing things. The girls, Maude and Iris, are the real-life daughters of Leslie and her husband Judd Apatow, who directed the film. Leslie said that, at first, she was unsure about acting alongside her kids.
I didn’t want to put them in the movie, but Judd, he thought it was a good idea. Time passed by, and I was saying no, no, no. And then I’m like, ‘I don’t know, maybe.’ Then it was like a week before and he said ‘You have to tell me now.’ He would ask me when I was really busy, so I couldn’t really focus on it and then it ended up just happening. But it was okay.
Maude proved to be quite a scene-stealer, particularly with her improvisation about where babies come from.
She’s very comfortable improvising. We had three cameras on her, people standing all around her, and she was so comfortable and really funny — and good. So it worked out…so far.

I saw this movie last night, it was absolutely hilarious!! If you liked the 40 Year Old Virgin, you will love this movie. Judd’s girls were great in the film- the youngest one giggled throughout and the “where babies come from scene” was too funny.

I just saw this movie earlier this evening and it was golden! I can’t even begin to tell you how hilarious it was.
And yes, Maude was certainly a scene-stealer! I’ll bet you she’ll be a real actress when she’s older.
