Kyra Sedgwick on her college-bound son and finding family time

By this fall, the Bacon household will be less crowded as 18-year-oldTravis heads off to college. Mom Kyra Sedgwick confesses on The ViewMonday that while she’s still trying to wrap her head around that fact,she’s not experiencing separation anxiety just yet.

It’s unimaginable. I’msort of in denial. I think I’m always in denial of anything bad ordifficult happening and then when it actually shows up, I deal with it.

They still have the summer to spend together though before he goesas Travis, Kevin and daughter Sosie, 15, are joining Kyra on LosAngeles-based The Closer set. The family calls New York City home, buthas been maintaining a bicoastal lifestyle since the actress was castin the drama two years ago.

Every other weekend they come out. They come out forvacations. I don’t start until around spring break so they spend springbreak there and then the summer. It’s really challenging. It’s noteasy. It’s one day at a time. And you know, we’re just lucky it’sworking out.
