UPDATE: What being a ‘rock star mommy’ is changes every day, and you just have to know how to roll with the punches. I am operating on fumes and coffe after spending the night taking care of my very restless nightmare ridden co-sleeping preschooler. And, I had a little ‘tiff’ with another Mom at our co-op preschool yesterday that I still haven’t emotionally recovered from. But, I am going to throw on extra under-eye concealer, put on some cute outfit that makes me happy and raises my confidence level, and take my child to school and go about my day as best as I can, playing some good music in the car to raise my spirits. It doesn’t hurt that it is another toasty warm sunny day here in SoCal, always a mood lifter!

I believe being a “Rock Star Momma” means staying true to your spirit and individuality, and not compromising yourself to conform to society’s or other people’s standards. It is living your life the way you feel is best for you and your family, while at the same time, doing so with your own personal flair and spunk. It is confidence, pure and simple : ).

To me being a ‘Rock Star Mommy’ means that just because you are a mommy doesn’t mean you can’t still be hip and trendy! I try to have fun with life, and just love seeing everything thru my daughter’s eyes. I love giving her a variety of life experiences, and exposing her to a great many things, including rock music. Her current favorite seems to be The Ramones, she likes pop-punk kind of stuff. I just try to still be me, and also a Mom, and hopefully that will allow her to grow up confident in her self, and figure out her place in this crazy universe. And maybe she will be a “Rock Star Mommy’ someday too.

To me being a rockstar momma is about letting my individuality and style shine through in my mommy endeavors. Not forgetting that I was first a woman- with style and a sense of humor. Allowing my parenting style to reflect the values of personal choice and most of all FUN!

Being a Rock Star Momma to me is being the best mommy I can be. Following my instincts and truly loving my children, spending as much quality time as I can with them- having fun and enjoying each other , educating them, protecting them yet allowing them room to grow, and simply enjoying the joys that come with being a “momma”.
