Update: Jade Goody pregnant with third child
Update: We are sad to report that Jade has suffered a miscarriage. She was 11 weeks along.
Originally posted May 7th: The Sun is reporting that British Big Brother star Jade Goody is expecting her third child — her first with her 19-year-old beau, former model Jack Tweedy. Jade, 25, says she cried tears of joy about the unplanned, but welcomed pregnancy.
She told the newspaper,
I’m thrilled. Jack’s over the moon too but it’s come as a bit of a shock. We’re still telling friends and family.
The couple, who are reportedly planning to get engaged, have beentogether for two years and have just purchased a house near Stansted,Essex.
The baby will join the reality star’s two sons, Bobby Jack 3 1/2, and Freddie, 2 1/2, with her ex, TV presenter/reality star Jeff Brazier.

I know they’ve been together for two years, but 19?? He’s awfully young to be the father of not one, but three children. I hope he is ready for this.
Anyway, congrats to the family, I am sure they will have a beautiful baby.
This is his first child.

She’s only 25. It’s hardly robbing the cradle. I’d be more concerned about him parenting a newborn and two stepchildren at 19 than whether or not his girlfriend is his age.

I don’t blame Cali a bit for being confused. The way this post is worded DOES make it sound as though this is both Jane AND Jack’s third child. IMO, it should have been worded more like this: Jane Goody and Jack Tweed are expecting their first child together. Please, CBB staff, considering correcting this post to make it less confusing!

she was with him not only when he was 17, but when he was 17 and she had a 6 month old and an 18 month old! wow. if he’s still around 2 years later, i’m sure they’ve got something figured out. surely different than the world i live in!

I actually wasn’t confused. I understand that this is his first biological child, but if they are planning on getting engaged, as stated, he will soon be responsible for her two children as well. So he will basically be a daddy figure to three children, even the two that are not biologically his. And I just think that would be a lot for a 19 year old to handle.

Its very well known that Jack has cheated on Jade many times over the time of their relationship, and at times it doesnt seem very stable. Personally, i blame his age, he just wants to have fun (and her money)
I dont think a pregnancy is going to “calm” him down, if anything, i think he will pull away more and potentially cheat on her due to the stress of a newborn.

Cali, I think it depends on the person. I had 2 by that age, and was married. I am an active stay at home mommy (I work one day a week)to a 23 month old and a 6 month old.

I just saw her 2 little boys Saturday at London zoo and they are sooooo cute!!
She does make cutie babies…but might consider stopping soon

Jack’s name is ‘Tweedy’, not ‘Tweed’… he’s the younger brother of Girls Aloud member Cheryl Tweedy, now married to footballer Ashley Cole

Liza, I was not knocking the whole “young people having children” thing. I absolutely agree that it depends on the person and how they handle being a parent, and many times it does not matter what their age is. I know there are many 20 year old parents out there that are fantastic parents and do just as good, or even better, of a job than older people.
I was simply giving my opinion that 19 seems awfully young for a man to be the parent of three children. I don’t know any 19 year old guys out there that are ready for that responsibility. But I hope Jack is.

pink.lioness, Cheryl doesn’t have a brother named Jack. I’m pretty sure they’re not even related, he wasn’t at her wedding. He uses both Tweed and Tweedy as his last name, not sure why.

Cheryl’s a Geordie (from Newcastle) and Jack is from Hertfordshire.
If they are related, it is not as brother and sister.

Cheryl and Jack are not related in any way.
I am not a Jade fan but its really upsetting to hear that she has lost the baby. My prayers are with her and Jack.

My heart goes out to both of them on their lost of their unborn child. This is something that no woman wants to go through. A lot of people on here are more concern about their age difference than what they just went through. Don’t you think that the age difference is the least you should be worrying about. Helllloooo.. look at Demi & ashton. I myself have been with my fiance for almost 7 years. I am 34 and he is 27 and I will say that he is the best thing that has happend to me in my life and I am the best thing that has happend in his. We both lost twin girls at 6 months gestation and almost two years later and it still feels like it just happend because it hurts me the same way when I think about my baby girls. So, let this people be and just let them deal with their lost.

Silvia – if you look at the dates of the posts, the ones about the age difference were made a long time ago when the pregnancy was first revealed. I’ve got nothing against age gaps, but the stories about Jack cheating, and the pair of them behaving like they did on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK earlier this year, does show that, at the very least, this is hardly a mature and intelligent meeting of the minds. I don’t think the age gap has anything to do with this though.
But, like anyone with an ounce of decency, I feel awful for them on the loss of their baby. It’s terribly sad to go through a miscarriage at any time, let alone when you have to do it in the full glare of the relentless press. All the best to Jade, Jack, Bobby and Freddie. My thoughts are with them all.

Age is just a number. Some people dont act there age or even feel it. If your mature and in love. More power to you. Im happy for them.

My God you guys..Who cares how old he is or the circumstances surrounding the conception..This lady just lost her baby..She must be devastated planned or not planned..God bless her..I just lost a son at 17 1/2 weeks..it is not an easy thing to deal with..I am sure his age and logistics are not in her mind right now..I hope her angel helps her through her loss..
