Angelina Jolie MSN interview: Shiloh’s a ‘little honey’
Angelina Jolie, 32, was recently interviewed by MSN while promoting her new film, A Mighty Heart. Here are the kid related highlights.
On Maddox asking about the film: He finds it very strange. He came up to me and said, ‘Why are you dressing up like Adam’s mommy everyday?’ and then it got us into this heavy discussion where I had to say, ‘Well, this thing happened to Adam’s mommy and Adam’s daddy and to their family at this time, that has affected our world, and we want to tell the story to help people understand this time and Adam’s daddy.’ I really couldn’t get into the details, more because I didn’t know what he would say to Adam. Usually I tell my son everything, but…I did say that [Daniel] was killed.
On what she’s most proud of: My family. I’m very proud of my family. I’m proud of Brad as a father, and as a man. I’m proud of the home we’ve been able to create for the kids. I’m proud of how happy our kids are, and how uniquely individual they are…I’m most proud of them.
On how she balances everything: It’s a unique situation where I am lucky that I can take big chunks of time off. I can also insist that my kids be brought to the set. I’m able to balance because I have a lot of that unusual circumstance. I do have an amazing man in my life who is such a wonderful dad, and makes raising the kids that much more fun and that much easier to do because he’s so hands-on as well. But at the end of the day, like all moms, you realize you get through it because you love your kids, and you love your life, and it’s pure joy, and the balance is just found.
On Maddox: Mad’s almost 6, and he’s just this little intelligent man. He’s so smart and so witty. He’s like my best buddy. Just the coolest little person I’ve ever met.
On Pax: He’s recently just come home. He spent 3 1/2 years of his life in one place, in one room, in this one little iron bed with 20 other kids, and having no choice for himself to do things, having no freedom. And suddenly, here he is in a very free situation with new brothers and sisters and a mom and dad. He’s learning English and he’s so loving and he’s wild and free ’cause he suddenly has freedom so he’s a little wild and crazy. But what a tough, remarkable little person.
On Shiloh: Shi’s so full of light and love, she’s just a little honey, and very, very funny. I think I’m recognizing some of myself in that one — she’s going to be a little bit of trouble!

I love the quotes, and even more how she calls Shi a “little honey”. That is freaking adorable! And the way she talks about Brad, her entire family, you can tell she loves them all a great deal.

I love her! I know there are a lot of haters, but she has done so much with her life, and she’s still so young.

She is so stunning and poised. I love how she talks about her family. The world needs more people like her!

The way that she describes her children so differently and so detailed at every interview really demonstrates how much time she spends getting to know her children and how close she is to them.
Some folks can tell a story, and it’s lip service, but that’s not what we’re getting from the Joli-Pitt’s. They’re obviously very family centered, not baby crazy — because being pregnant and having a baby happens to be trendy right now– but family centered. There’s a difference. And it’s refreshing. Encouraging.

she is sooooooooo beautiful! it actually hurts to look at her! haha. it’s the first time i have noticed her mention Shiloh in a lovey dovey sense and that is refreshing! I love Angelina. I wish people didn’t bad-mouth her and call her a homewrecker…she is an amazing woman and she LOVES her children and her family more than anything. God bless her!

Angelina look so much like her mother in this interview – it’s uncanny!
It’s nice to see her so happy. She seems in full bloom at the moment. And I love the way her face lights up at any mention of her children.

I think the way she talked about Shiloh was adorable! I am also relieved that she talked about Shiloh, because hopefully that will finally put an end to all the “Angelina hates Shiloh,” “Angelina favors her adopted kids over her bio baby”, and “Why doesn’t she mention Shiloh/Why doesn’t she talk about Shiloh’s personality,” comments.

What did she say about Zahara? No mention of her in this interview.
Sarah’s note: She didn’t say anything. You can watch the video if you want.

It’s actually so good to read her comment about Shiloh. She finally talked about her, and described her in such an adorable way!

I love this woman, she is so full of love and giving, I agree with the poster who said we need more people like her on this planet. Absolutely right! What an incredible mom she must be.
And I have to go and see ‘A mighty heart’ soon!

I adore her interviews. She always has something worthwhile to say and always, I mean always praises Brad. I’m glad they found each other.

Amazing woman. I can never get enough of her. How can one person be so gorgeous and so generous and everything? This woman’s no woman, she’s a goddess.
I especially loved what she said about Maddox, about him being a wise, witty little boy. I love that she tells him everything. I think she’s always going to have a special bond with Maddox. He’s her Mama’s boy.

Maybe I’m a cynic but everytime she mentions Shiloh it rings false as if she’s saying “see? I mentioned her! Now let me plug my movie and people will stop questioning whether or not I like old, what’s her name”. In every other mention of her children, she will mention a hobby or something they enjoy, some particular story they like, some funny moment but with Shiloh, it’s generic comment “she’s loving and funny” and then boom! onto something else.
I have never found Angelina Jolie to be this beacon of perfection that so many do and everything she does and says (with the exception of the mentions of her 3 children) seem to ring false and pretentious. Almost like a carefully timed sound byte for people to go “awwww….” over. However, I have always said her words for her 3 eldest children (especially Maddox) seem so loving and so full of maternal pride.

She is an amazing woman, and a wonderful mother. I loved this interview!

Wow! so little comments. Hmm I guess the ‘haters’ who have no life actually got video ‘in person proof’ that she DOES in fact love her ‘honey’ shiloh. I think it’s beautiful to see any parent talk about thier children and how they light up. Finally some proof and not written word on how she loves her little honey. No more assumptions and analytical comments on how she never talks about shiloh or holds her. Such crap people are.
Sorry if anyone finds it offensive but when you hate on someone you don’t know and make really irrational assuptions on how they don’t love their children just because you don’t live with her it is a bunch of crap and those people need to worry about their own life and their own children.

Look at that! – Don’t you worry. They’ll just find something else to complain about or accuse her of. Unfortunately, this is a pattern of too many women. Tear down another woman to make one’s self feel better. Check out the A Mighty Heart Q&A done by Sean Smith of Newsweek. He was shocked by how ignorant and hateful some of the questions asked by readers were. I am embarrassed for these women and wonder if they teach their children to hate others.

Not surprised- I was embarrassed for these women as well..and a little sickened. Just a shame to see how truly ignorant some people are. I guess this explains just why the tabloids are still making so much money.

Aw its very cute what she said about her kids and how she opened up a little bit more about Shiloh. It’s funny that Zahara was unintentionally left out.

Little Pax is learning English very quickly. There’s a cute video of him with Z and his dad on JustJared that shows him pointing at the paparazzi and saying in English, “They got a lotta big cameras!” He appears to be very bright and alert.

OMG. She sees hersful in Shi? That child hasn’t got a chance. Oh how I wish she saw anyone else in her! She’s just projecting obviously. Poor kid is destined to grow up like her Mom, because her Mom is saying so. And you know how children like to please their parents. OMG-what a clueless mother. OMG what low expectations being set for Shi.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( Bet this doesn’t get posted.
