It also looks as if she has the straps coming up and over his shoulders instead of above them. In a forward facing carseat you should ALWAYS have the strap at or above the shoulders. Now if it’s a rear facing carseat then you are suppose to do the up and over which makes me think that Jayden rides in this carseat also so instead of adjusting the straps for Sean, she just put him in there. AND IF IF IF she puts Jayden in this carseat then he should not be facing forward until he hits 20-22 pounds AND is over one year of age.
Now I could be very wrong on what I just said but at least other people who read this will learn something they might not have known.

Sean P is so adorable…look at his long hair! He’s getting so big and cuter all the time! And I see the picking apart of everything she does is starting…we can’t tell anything from this picture other than he’s in a carseat and he’s strapped in…everything she does gets scrutinized–I would bet money that if this were any other mom, we’d all be commenting on how cute the child was and that’s it–but because it’s Britney, he must be in the seat wrong and now she’s putting both boys in the same seat and it’s unsafe–we don’t know anything about it–lets just ease up a little bit–Brit is certainly not mom of the year but man we are all so quick to jump on every little thing whether we know the facts or not…

omg sean is gorgepus and his long hair is perfect he looks so obig every time we see him he looks cuter every day, britney is a great mom in the few pics that we see of jayden he is always with his mom and smiling so she is a good mom, about te car seat some times other moms doesnt even have their kids in a car seat and any one said anything just because is britney people is always lookin something bad in her, her kids and the way she acts but she is not perfect, any way this kid is just gorgeous he looks so much big and cuter everytime he is my fav celebrity baby the same that jayden

Melea- I am sure that Sean and Jayden have their own carseats. I mean, chances are Britney takes BOTH of them out at the same time sometimes. In that case, they could not both be riding in that carseat. Also, we have seen pictures of Britney’s body guards carrying Jayden in a rear-facing carseat.

Is it just me, or every time there is a Brit post SOMEONE HAS TO pick her apart?? Instead of just commenting on SP being so adorable and Brit looking better and spending so much time with her kids…there always has to be a few who just comment on something negative that they have searched for. I see nothing wrong with SP car seat straps. They look snug on him. And, I believe rear facing is best to the highest weight OR height as described by each car seat manufacturer. At least that is what I just read on the AAP site.
I am sure Jayden has HIS OWN car seat…an infant one. We have all seen pics of him being carried in it.
PLEASE…people…GET OFF HER BACK!!! SP is almost 2 and is IN A CAR SEAT!!! Lets be happy for that instead of projecting things about Jayden.
If this was any other mother…ugh, whats the use…nobody listens!

I can’t even see anything about the car seat, other then he’s strapped in. Too dark and small. Though the chest clip looks fine to me….as does everything else. I figured people would be happy she got a more expensive one. I remember people not liking she had one that wasn’t top of the line.
I’m also 100% positive Jayden has a different car seat. She of course has to drive with both kids a lot of the time. It’s not like we see her every moment in her life.
Anyway on topic, Sean is just so cute. He’s a little man now. He really has grown into a toddler and not a baby all of the sudden.

I agree with Ann,
I’ve seen Jayden in both a rear facing Alpha Omega Elite and in the Graco Safeseat which is the infant seat that goes up to 30lbs. So I highly doubt he uses that seat too. I think she learned the “rear-facing” lesson the first time around.

My cousin, who is 2 next week, rides in a car seat where his arms go through the straps, not the straps going over his shoulders. Are you going to call my aunt a horrible mother?
Give Britney a break. She’s young, has made mistakes, but I truly believe she loves her children and wouldn’t put them in harms way.
Sean is so FREAKING CUTE! He does look like a little man and I would love to hear him speak, he’s probably talking up a storm! Can’t wait until we see more of these adorable boys. Britney makes the cutest babies.

Aww, OMG Sean is so adorable! He’s really starting to look like a little kid now and you know who he reminds me of? That little kid who played Jim Carrey’s son in Liar, Liar. As soon as I saw him I was like “WHOA” lol But aw, he’s adorable!

I think I am the only one who finds pictures of celebs, and their kids inside their cars to be rather creepy. very intrusive to their privacy, not to mention the flashes much make driving really unsafe. especially with a baby in the back.
even if they are just in a parking lot, or pulling away, accidents can still occur.

I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. Britney is human just like everyone else and I am not picking her apart because of who she is. Putting any child, Jayden or Sean, in a carseat the wrong way isn’t safe. The only reason I said anything was because maybe someone reading this didn’t know and now they do.
Very true that Jayden has been in a rear facing carseat but going by what Britney HAS done before with putting Sean in a forward facing carseat before he turned one is where I’m getting the maybe part. I see lots of mom’s where I live putting their children forward facing at 6 months, not pulling up the front clip to the proper height, not chaning the straps to fit the child that is riding in there…. It’s flat out scary to me and it doesn’t matter who the mom is.
About Jayden having his own carseat (if he is sitting in a forward facing one already), I’m sure he does. I was just saying that because what IF she had Jayden in that car and took Sean’s out to, lets say wash the cover, and wanted to go out. She could have put Sean in Jayden’s new forward facing carseat.
These are all what if’s and not to pick her apart, it’s to make the people who read this realize how important it is to properly put your child in the carseat. I’m sure Britney does not read this so it was not aimed to down grade her as a mother… no one is perfect and I certainly am not. If I’m doing something wrong that would endanger my son, I would LOVE LOVE for another person to point that out to me.

Devon, I think you have no idea what I’m talking about with the straps. Maybe you should go google how to install a carseat and how to properly put your child in one. The straps should be ABOVE the shoulders on a forward facing carseat. That way if you are in a wreck your child will not move forward a few inches and then crash back to the seat… watch some videos before you accuse me of calling your aunt a bad mother. Lots of parents don’t know they are doing anything wrong, its the parents that know already but don’t care enough to fix it.

Sandy, no you aren’t the only one! I have always felt these car pics are creepy and not necessary for safety reasons. I have seen video of these celebs trying to get out of a parking lot or just get started down a street and there are so many photogs around…it IS dangerous. Maybe the photogs are trying to get themselves hurt so they can sue! LOL! You never know!!
One thing we all seem to agree on…SP and JJ are adorable kids!!!

I see nothing wrong with his seat. It looks to me that the straps are right above his shoulders were they should be. We all know Britney has done a lot of stupid parenting choices in the past but everyone tears her apart for even the things she does right.
In another post there was a pic of Jayden being carried in an infant car seat when he was about 8 months and a lot of people said he was too big for it. If he was not more than 22 lbs he was fine for that seat.
It’s because it’s Britney and people love to criticize her. I have seen so many celebrities who when their kids get about 4 years old take them out of a car seat completely. It’s recommended by the NHTSA that a child stay in a booster seat until 8 years old or until 4′9″. No one ever bats an eye at that because most people love those celebrity moms ala Reese Witherspoon and Angelina Jolie.

There’s no way to tell how his shoulder straps are set or where the chest clip is at in these photos because there’s no clear up- close shot of Sean. They’re not the best quality. So leave it alone people. Women can be so incredibly judgemental and quick to point out the flaws of one another. Come down from your “mother-of-the-year” pedastal.
Sean is absolutely adorable and I love his hair. My daughter’s been riding in her Marathon for almost a year now and it’s the best seat out there for a toddler IMO.

LOL, mother of the year, I’m far from it. I truly did not mean to pick her apart. I was just pointing out that I could be wrong but that’s what it looks like.
About the infant seat, my son just now went to a forward facing carseat. He was still in the infant seat until this past week when he turns one. He is small and was under 22 lbs so it was safer to have him in that than the foward facing.
Everyone does it different when it comes to parenting but there are right and wrong ways to put your child in the car. Britney might have Sean installed properly. The photos arent the best I agree. Maybe he pushed the clip down on his own (if it is pushed down). Just hopefully people who see this and didn’t know how to put a child in the car safely will or at least go and search how. I’ve seen mom’s here put their infant car seat facing forward :-O Now that’s the mom you want to give a parenting award to. Britney is doing a great job as far as I know of being a mom.

I agree with everyone who said that Brit gets picked apart every time. If they can’t say anything negative about the KIDS, then they pick apart HER personally. People do that with Tom and Katie Cruise too. I myself, have said some things about Angelina, and I have actually stopped that. It’s not necessary..I don’t know her or her kids, so I shouldn’t comment on what I don’t know for FACT.

Well, I can’t really tell, it looks as though the straps may, may be coming from the slots below him as oppossed to the one’s that are just above his shoulders. And, depending on how much he weighs, he may still be able to be rear-facing, but at least he’s in a seat and the straps are tight. If Jayden has a safeseat, then he can go to 30lbs. But I seem to remember seeing him back in January in a forward facing seat with a blanket thrown over his head, and SP in some other seat with his straps so loose they were hanging on his thighs. At least these one’s are tight on him and the chest clip is near the right area.

Here’s a better pic. Well, it’s the same one but it’s been enhanced. With it enhanced you can tell that the harness is too low, the straps are too loose, the strap covers are on his chest, and that the chest clip is near his belly button.
However, again I have to say, at least he’s in a carseat.

S- I just looked at the article you linked to…and discovered that in it, they claim that Britney was riding in her car with her “youngest son, Jayden James”. It is extremely obvious that the boy in the picture is Sean, not Jayden. Obviously whoever wrote that article must not know the big difference between a 9 month old and a 21 month old (note: I am saying this tongue-in-cheek). *rolls eyes*
