Toni Collette expecting first child
Actress Toni Collette, 34, (Little Miss Sunshine, In Her Shoes) and her husband Dave Galafassi are expecting their first child. Toni is said to be 19 weeks along, with a due date in the first week of December. Toni said,
We’re very happy. We’re completely over the moon. It is strange, the last three films I’ve done I have beenpregnant. I’m just like, what is the universe tryingto tell me? But I think everything happens when it’s meant to.
In February, probably just before finding out she was expecting, Toni had said,
I want children in another year or so. I don’t know what kind of motherI’ll be. It’s a big responsibility and I’m really scared because Idon’t want to mess this child up! I’ll try to instill good values and domy best to encourage my children to be themselves.
When I do getpregnant I want to take time off and be really present because those early years are so important.
Toni and Dave, a drummer, performed together with their band Toni Collette and The Finish at Live Earth yesterday in Sydney. A rep for the couple did not comment on the pregnancy.

If TC’s publicist had no comment how do u know she is 5 mo preg? Syn Herald is speculating….
She looks good in the 2nd pic. The belt and her wearing blk hides any protrusion if she is pregnant.
I didnt know she fronted a band. I hope that works. That it doesnt cause any difficulties bc she has more notoriety.

Congrats to the happy couple! She is one of the few actresses who no matter what part she plays, she makes the character come alive. You feel for her character even though you know it is just a movie. I can’t wait to see who the child resembles most…

She has been very honest about wanting to start a family – this isn’t a surprise but it’s lovely news! Her album is divine. I’ve been a fan of Toni’s for 15 years. WOO!

OH congrats to her. She’s a great actress and she co-starred with Christian Bale twice, who is so yummy! I hope everything goes well for her and she has a healthy baby. She’s going to be a great mom!

My questions is I’m a week ahead of her in my pregnancy. I’m not due in in Dec. I’m due the end of Oct to the begining of Nov. How did they come up with that? There’s no way someone can get preggy in Feb and have a baby in Dec unless the baby turns out to be late very late. Nonetheless, I love her and have see most of her movies. I’m happy for her, and I totally agree with everyone she’ll mke a wonderful mum!!! Congrat’s to them both!!
Sarah’s note: They didn’t say she got pregnant in February, just that she had made that statement in February. As for the due date, if she was 19 weeks on July 8th when this was posted, she will hit 40 weeks somewhere between December 1st-8th. So I will change it to first week of December instead of second!
