Don Cheadle shying away from acting for family
We may be seeing less of Don Cheadle in the next few years. The Talk toMe star/producer is entertaining the thought of working behind thescenes on future projects so he can spend more time with his family,longtime girlfriend Bridgid Coulter and their daughters, Ayana, 12, and Imani, 10.
The challenges of having a career as an actor and going on location and being away and wrestling with, ‘Is it right to take them out of school? Or we have to schedule it in summer so they’re out of school, and even when they’re out of school, do they want to be on the set in Morocco for a month?’ You know what I mean?
There’s a lot of things to consider doing this business, so yeah, I think the best career would probably just be a writing career and not even be in movies until they’re 18 or 19 years old.

I didn’t realize that they aren’t married. Well, at least they are raising their kids together as a family.
