Maggie Gyllenhaal calls erroneous reports of her postpartum weight-loss ’stupid,’ ‘unhelpful’
Motherhood has changed Maggie Gyllenhaal’s life "in the most incredible way," she recently said. 9-month-old Ramona, Maggie’s daughter with fiance Peter Sarsgaard, has also made big changes in her mom’s wardrobe. On a recent trip to Paris Maggie said she purchased "all these beautiful clothes."
But it was right before my daughter started eating solids, and I didn’t realize how messy that would be. Now I know I have to lay off the cream silk blouses for a while.
The pressure to return to her pre-baby body has not been lost on Maggie, but the 29-year-old actress said that she doesn’t feel it enough "to change what I’m doing very much." Furthermore, reports that she’d shed the baby weight quickly were labeled "totally ridiculous" by Maggie.
I was really shocked that they would write that. At that point I was 25 or 30 lbs heavier than I had been before I got pregnant. I had literally just given birth! It’s so unhelpful to everybody, to print stupid stuff like that.

She is just SO fantastic! I love how down to earth she is!
Not to mention how BEAUTIFUL her daughter is! I mean, WOW!

I love Maggie! She’s wonderful the way she refuses to bow to Hollywood pressure to lose weight too quickly after having a baby, and wants to spread the message that it’s normal to take your time to return to pre-baby form. Very down-to-earth.

i love her so much! although she looks great post-baby, it really is unhelpful for the media to put so much emphasis on celebrity weight loss. ramona’s striped ensemble is great, too!

I love how real and normal she is. She is totally right about people focusing too much on rapid post-baby weight loss. It’s nice to hear a celebrity who seems concerned about her affect on other woman.
