The name Ava is beyond gorgeous, but every 3rd girl has that name anymore. I’m not saying to name a girl Apple or Pear, but wow, none of these people had to go through elementary school as “Lisa M,” or “Jennifer D” or whatnot, because of all the people with those names!

I really like the name Ava, but it does seem to be used a great deal in Hollywood. I think that’s likely just a reflection of how popular the name is nowadays; it’s definitely in the top 10 most popular names for girls, and it may have climbed even since last year. It saw a surge of popularity after Reese Witherspoon gave her daughter the name in ‘99.

Not another Ava!! I used to LOVE the name Ava because I love Ava Gardner, and when I was younger I wanted to name my future daughter that. But not anymore…its too common.

im like everyone here. I LOVE the name Ava, even myself I have plans of aclling my future daughter Ava Paige Nicole. But its coming to be way to common in the celebrity world and its starting to bug me a little.

yeah! That’s my daughter’s name-it’s a beautiful name-we get compliments all the time. I wanted Emma but that was the number 1 name and came up with Ava instead…I just forgot to check the rest of the list TO SEE THAT Ava WAS NUMBER 3! LOL

Ava is a cute name, reminds me of the beautiful actress ava gardner. It’s way too overused now, but at least it’s a normal type name. Can’t wait to see the baby, loved jason since 90210.

Beautiful, classic name!
Although it’s pretty common these days with celebrities –lots of Ava and Lola’s < --sorry, NMS!, it's a beautiful name that suits a young child, and a grown woman. Also easy to say, spell, can't shorten it... Bravo!
