Jeff Gordon’s mother on Ella Sofia and Jeff as a dad
Fatherhood fits Jeff Gordon like a glove, according to his mother,Carol Bickford. The new grandma says her son is "so happy" being a dadto Ella Sofia, 3 weeks, and is a very hands-on parent.
He’ll call me and the baby will be laying on his chest, andhe’ll put the phone up so I can hear her sounds. Jeff was the first tochange the little messy diapers – he’s so eager to do all that.
Carol, who says she couldn’t have picked a better daughter-in-law ormother than Jeff’s wife, model Ingrid Vandebosch, also recalls thefirst time the family met their newest member outside the delivery room.
Jeff showed us a picture he had taken of Ella on his cell phone. We all shed a tear.

WOW! He changes diapers but still cant change oil in his own cars!

Ill betcha lil E will change diapers AND can fix his own car and change his own oil!

I think it is wonderful that he is such a great father. Who cares whether or not Dale ever changed his kid’s diapers. It is my understanding that he didn’t have much to do with his kids at all. Changing the oil on your car doesn’t make you a man. It just makes you messy!

I’ve enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon race all these years putting up with the bull from my friends about being a TV fan. I never have had the privilege to see him in person, so its about time that he had a family. I hope he stays loyal to them, as he does his racing. No money in the world can buy or give you more in life than what two can give out of their love for one another. And Little Ella will be a very lucky girl to get it all. GRATS!
