So what if Katie did cut her hair like Victoria’s? It’s not exactly uncommon to admire someone’s hair and then get a similar cut. People do it all the time.
It’s probably much easier to maintain now that she’s a mom.

I totally agree about Katie looking like Posh in that first photo – it was my first thought seeing it!! (not acting like her, but the look of her, yes) I think Suri’s bangs are cute, I also think they cover up her birthmark on her forehead. (edited out of Vanity fair, but seen quite evident in wedding photos). I also had the same thoughts at first about a baby of Suri’s age still dringing from a bottle, but have babysat for several kids her age who’ve done the same. Each kid is indeed different, and especially with all the traveling that the Cruise-Holmes clan does, having the bottle probably gives Suri comfort as well as convenience for Katie. Bottles can be very similar to pacifiers, which Violet still has, but we’ve never seen Suri with. 6 of one, half dozen of ther other I guess. I think Suri looks a lot like Katie did at this age, and as cute as she is, I still think Violet is cuter. (though I may be biased on that one, I’m not related to Suri!)

HA HA! I was thinking the same thing about the bottle. I can’t believe she still has a bottle but then again she is NOT my child and she is only a few months over 12 months. I think it surprised me more because I just ASS UME Tom would be demanding she be off of it at 1 year. I guess I need to stop thinking I know them or something, HA HA. I do HATE Katies haircut. She is beautiful but with long hair. She is not a short hair kind of girl. She looks 40 years old. As for the Posh comments. I think Katie more resembles trying to look like Jackie O. But it isn’t working. BUT I think she got the idea from POSH. I think being friends with POSH has inspired her to dress all weird. I mean, she is in her 20’s. I certainly don’t expect her to dress like Britney Spears but I never expected her to morph into this wanna be Jackie O. Always wearing these fancy High Society type clothes that don’t look right on her and age her about 20 years. Ugh. SURI is adorable. One of the cutest babies out there. I just wish Katie would go back to being herself. It just looks like she is trying to be someone she isn’t. Like she couldn’t even find a happy middle place from who she really is and to who she thinks she is expected to be. I don’t like it. But the BABY is AD ORABLE!!!

DB, hang in there. I see where you’re coming from.

I personally don’t think Suri is even close to being “Hollywood’s cutest celeb baby”, but that’s my opinion. I think Shiloh is an amazingly pretty (and cute!) baby and Violet Affleck is totally adorable, etc. Suri is cute and has some pretty features, but I don’t think she’s the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen.

And to be fair, I haven’t seen tons of pictures of Suri smiling, either. But lately, I’ve seen more. Maybe in a lot of cases, celeb babies are taken aback by all the cameras flashing and paps/fans yelling. Perhaps Suri is getting used to the attention and is more relaxed with it. ?

On that note, I’ve seen posters comment that Denise Richards’ daughter never smiles in photos and I think it’s probably the same thing. Kids can be moody at the best of times, but when you’re surrounded by cameras day in and day out and all these people talking at mom and dad, it must be a lot for a little one to take.

As to the bottle comments, my twins were still drinking from a bottle (sometimes) at Suri’s age and a few months beyond. I got sick and tired of negative comments from my mother-in-law, so I finally hid the bottles. I can see making a comment, but my mother-in-law used to harp about it. Same with toilet training. If I had it to do over again, I would just tell her to bite me.

Such a fuss over an off hand comment! Is it really that big a deal that DB commented that she finds Suri to be “sweet and cute the way all babies are” but does not see an especially “beautiful” baby? I don’t think it is.

Suri is cute, the Vanity fair photos were gorgeous but I really think people get way to worked up over Suri and Shiloh being the most beautiful babies ever. Most babies (celeb or otherwise) are really very cute and I think whether a baby is seen as out-of-the-ordinary beautiful is in the eye of the beholder and people tend to be biased towards prominent celeb babies.

And of course DB thinks her own daughter is the cutest, it’s natural. To suggest she post photos of her daughter for others to comment on who is better looking is ridiculous.

Lighten up people. I get the feeling that DB meant no harm at all.

You know what? I’m terribly sorry I have offended so many of you. I had no idea a flip little comment on Celebrity Baby Blog would kick up so much anger. Especially the person who challenged me to “prove” my child was more beautiful. Um…it’s my *opinion* people. I posted my opinion. I don’t *expect* people to agree with me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?

The moderators have thus far allowed my posts, so I can’t imagine that I have said anything out of line. I don’t see why I should have to defend myself over something so trivial, so you ladies just have a nice evening. I have a beautiful child to put to bed.

DB – I’ve gotta agree with Olba here. Why you find it necessary to say that Suri isn’t that good looking is beyond me, especially considering that you’re a mother and should be more sensitive to that. You know the old saying, “if you don’t have something nice to say…”. Well, it seems appropriate here.

But if you want to be fair, why don’t you post links to your child’s picture so we can tell you our honest opinions of who is better looking. Yeah, didn’t think so…

Olba, I didn’t go “out of my way” to say she wasn’t beautiful. I was commenting on the *comments*. Almost everybody on here said she’s stunning, and I have a different opinion. I didn’t say she was ugly or anything else negative; I said she is cute. And what’s wrong with thinking one’s own child is the most beautiful?

I didn’t attack anyone here, and I didn’t attack that sweet little girl. Give it a rest.
