Cristina Lopez dedicates medal to ill daughter
Cristina Lopez was the recipient of El Salvador’s first gold medal at the Pan American Games on Sunday, July 22. Cristina, 23, who won the women’s 20-kilometer walk, dedicated the medal to her 3-year-old daughter, Monica Michelle, who is currently battling leg cancer.
The medal is for my little daughter and for all of ElSalvador. I’m going through a very difficulttime.

Im from el salvador and shes a very talented athlete, but she just found out that her daughter has cancer, so she promise her to winn and she did congratulations. And thanks for posting this note, even now shes not a famous person
