Tags: News

Kelly Osbourne, 22, daughter of rock-star Ozzy Osbourne and his wife, Sharon, has signed up to play Matron Mama Morton in the play, Chicago, in London’s Cambridge Theater for a seven-week stint from September 10 to October 27, 2007.

Reportedly, Kelly has even dropped a couple of dress sizes in preparation for the part. She tells Perez Hilton,

Believe it or not, little Miss Osbourne has lost weight and the only thing that they retouched was my double chin and that bit under your arm pit… Now who wouldn’t want that?

Since finding fame in her family’s reality show The Osbournes, Kelly has launched her own singing career and has hosted I’m a Celebrity for ITV2. Of her new role, Kelly said,

It’s been a dream of mine to be in the West End. I can’t wait to work with such an amazing cast.

She looks so healthy! I love this picture it really suits her.

  2. Becky Says:

She looks so much slimmer!! Good luck to her, i’m sure she’ll be great.

  3. Amme Says:

It’s great that she has dropped a couple of dress sizes and still promote a healthy body image, but this is clearly not Kelly Osbourne’s body and its quite shameful that they have even used it.

Sarah’s note: I think it is, she’s obviously still got her hips, she just seems to be tied up in that corset! Photoshop is most likely at work as well.

  4. tink1217 Says:

good for Kelly!! What a great career move for her! Personally, I could care less about her weight. She is a beautiful girl!

  5. meghan Says:

her arms are still a little plump – so they didn’t photoshop a ton. but they DID blacken below her chin to get rid of her second chin… but she has lost quite a bit of weight recently. good for her.

  6. Tracy Says:

She looks fantastic! I just hope she doesn’t lose too much weight, I would hate for her to fall into the celeb trap…. She’s so beautiful!

I think she always looked good…she wore / wears her weight really well. I think this is a fun role for her to play in…I wish her luck. The above post is a pic of what I think she really looks like, I think they attribute the current photos to photoshop.

  8. Natalie S. Says:

    Kelly looks great!

  9. J Says:

Why did you censor Kelly’s comment about the bit under the arms looking like a vagina? Is the word vagina offensive to you?

  10. Lilybett Says:

Isn’t it Matron Mama Morton? Not Mama Matron? I would have thought she’d need the weight to pull off playing the matron of a tough women’s prison. I think “matron” I think “matronly”.

  11. kaelan Says:

it’s great she’s lost weight. but i feel like matron mama morton should be heavier. i guess queen latifah ruined the role for anyone else to me, she was absolutely perfect for it. even on broadway though, it was always a heavier older lady…i don’t get how in the world kelly osbourne would be her.
