"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Jason Priestley wants to ’soak it all in’

Tags: Dads, News, Quotes

Ava2_cbbActor Jason Priestley, 37, and his wife Naomi Lowde Priestley welcomed daughter Ava Veronica four weeks ago, and as previously mentioned, have bucked a Hollywood trend by deciding to go nanny-free. The decision to do it themselves was an easy one, says Jason, because participating allows him to experience every aspect of fatherhood.

I love being a father. It’s totally ineffable. I love changing diapers. I love the whole thing — I’m all in. The time we’re going to get to spend with our daughter actually beingan infant is so short that I really want to have that time with her. The fractured sleep that you get, the whole experience– I really want to have it all and soak it all in.

Although forever immortalized as 90210’s Brandon Walsh, Jason continues to act, most recently in his new series Side Order of Life, which came at the perfect time — it allowed Jason a paternity leave.

My wife and I were planning on having a child this summer, so when Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen, our executive producers, started talking to me about doing ‘Side Order,’ the timing of it worked out perfectly for me. I knew that I’d be at home for the first four months of Ava’s life.
