On the Today show this morning, actor Chris O’Donnell, 36, revealed that he and his wife Caroline are expecting their fifth child. No due date was given, but Chris joked,
We’re just starting to figure out how it works. I think I know why this is happening, but we’re really excited about it.

My eighth-grade true love is having his fifth child? Guess this means he’ll really never be mine.
All kidding aside, congratulations and good luck.

Wow! That is awesome. I love to see big families and from what I have read about him here he and his wife seem to be doing a good job.

Ahhhh… D’artagnan is having his fifth child. He was my first crush. Oh well. Kirk Cameron is happily married, too. What is the world coming to?!
But seriously, I’m ecstatic for Chris and Caroline. Children are a blessing, and the more the merrier!

I met him in 1996. He looked into my eyes and I said ‘WOW’. I can’t believe he didn’t wait for me. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN. Christina, we were JIBBED!

Yay, bring another O’Donnell into this world!! (I’m a little biased since that’s my surname as well =). And jumping on the bandwagon, I too, hope it’s a girl.

I love big families too.
congrats to them, but why is it if someone adopts 5 children, they get criticized? However a child comes into your life is a blessing. It is not a collection.

“congrats to them, but why is it if someone adopts 5 children, they get criticized? However a child comes into your life is a blessing. It is not a collection.”
I assume you’re referring to the Jolie-Pitt family, since there is no other family with that many adopted children featured on this site, so to answer that question, I think the reason many question their reasons for adopting is because they did it so quickly, going from one child to the other while simultaneously traveling all over the world and not staying in one place long enough for the new children to adjust. That leaves outsiders wondering if they really care about getting to know their kids before adding the next one. I personally find it very odd that Angelina filed to adopt another child so soon after giving birth (I read that she filed adoption papers last summer, which would mean she waited about 2 months after Shiloh’s birth to start up again).
I agree with everyone else that I hope this one is a girl, especially since Chris mentioned last year how much Lily wanted a sister when Finley was born.

Congratulations to Chris and his family. Just wondering if their son’s middle name “McHugh” was a family name, since it’s may surname also.
