it’s not just rumor that denise calls the press to tell them where she’ll be with her kids – i’m in the entertainment industry here in LA and EVERYONE knows she does it. it’s not gossip. this doesn’t mean she’s a bad mom, but apparently she’s very much the “take our photo, now i’ll hand them off to the nanny” sort.

All of it is he said she said. I do know that if two small children had to go regularly back and fourth between their mom’s house and their dad’s house I think it would be better if they had the same nanny at both houses. Some kind of constant in their lives.

pressi- Where did you hear that? To me, that sounds like something that you’d find in a tabloid, or something Charlie said to make her look bad.
Personally, I believe that she really IS a good mommy, since the girls never look uncomfortable with her (true, we rarely see them smiling, but I’m guessing that’s probably due to the paps getting in their faces all the time) and I simply have no reason to believe otherwise. And just because she broke up with him, rather than him breaking up with her, doesn’t mean the break up is “her fault”. Like a previous poster stated, she broke up with him because he was doing some not very good things.
Anyway, I believe Denise, not Charlie.

I agree with tink, there has to be a real proven reason that he has supervised visits.

I have a friend who is locked in a bitter custody battle with her abusive ex-husband, and she has been trying for years to get supervised visits, but the courts make it really difficult to prove abuse. Even now that their little girl is four, and can speak for herself, they won’t believe her (they claim she is coaching her daughter to say these things).

I don’t think they put restrictions on visits without serious proof, especially a guy who has fame and lots of money for lawyers to fight the custody arrangement. He must be up to something sketchy IMO. Maybe it’s his past (current?) drug abuse or maybe it’s the underage porn they allegedly found on his computer. Either way, if the guy is rich and can’t get unsupervised visits, something is afoot.

It has been out there for MONTHS and MONTHS that she calls the Paps to tell them where her and the girls are gonna be swimming or playing at so they can snap pics of her being a good caring doting mommy.

I think he should have unsupervised visits if there are no grounds for abuse. He is their father and should have the same rights as their mother. I can imagine it to be impossible to be yourself with your children if someone that is paid for by your ex is with you all the time.
