Bodemi: Reading Kaboodle and More

You’ve got to check out Bodemi.com. Created by 3 best friends, this new company has so many creative useful products and adorable clothes and gifts. According to Mimi Poon, Partner – Sales and Marketing of Bodemi, the name "BODEMI comes from a combination of Boren Lon, Deborah Bernat and Mimi Poon.  We all met in college (Bates College, in Lewiston Maine).  Boren was born in Cambodia, but grew up in Maine.  Deb is originally from Vermont but now resides in San Diego. I, myself am a New Yorker. BODEMI was born with the faith that Boren, Deb and I have in each other to bring a vision to life." Boren designs (she’s been designing since she was small), Deborah is the web designer and Mimi is in charge of sales and marketing.

We checked out their Reading Kaboodle ($62) -  which is quickly developing a loyal following. At 22 months, my son is a reader (well, he loves looking at the pictures). We tested out the Kaboodle in the Camo print. It’s basically a sleeping bag that has a pocket to hold books. It comes with a matching pillow and is perfect for your child to stretch out and read on. Ben loved carrying it around (all folded up) and snuggling on it with his father or I, reading many a book about a fire truck!  It was a big hit when we took it to my parents’ house. Kids can duck under the sheet for a cozy nap too! 100% cotton, it comes in many girly, unisex and boy friendly prints. This would be perfect for a rainy day at grandma’s. What a great birthday or holiday gift!  And since I am always that friend that buys books for my friends’ kids, pairing it with a Reading Kaboodle is a smart idea!

Need a baby blanket for a gift? You can design your own with their ultra Plushy Posh Blanket! For the checkboard design, choose from either 2 to 4 squares of either yellow, kiwi (a light green), iris (light purple), blue, pink and vanilla. The microfiber poly just gets softer with each wash (and won’t pill).
