Devil Rays Carlos Pena receives a scare from daughter
Tampa Bay Devil Rays player Carlos Pena was late for pregame warmups recently after undergoing a scare with his 18-month-old daughter, Isabella.
The little girl slipped on water at the family’s residence in Orlando and fell and hit her head on the floor. Shortly afterwards, she had a vomiting spell, which lead the parents to believe she had a concussion.
Carlos, a designated hitter, stated,
I heard a loud ‘bam,’ and I was scared. But she’s OK. It didn’t cut her head open or anything.
After Carlos and his wife, Pamela, were assured that their little girl was doing well, the designated hitter headed to join his team.
