It’s so good to know Christina & Jordan haven’t rushed to have kids when they first met, they have been dating for 7 years now & married 2 so it’s good to know they are taking things one step at a time. I’m happy for them!

When is she going to announce the pregnancy already?
August 11th, 2007 at 4:47 pm
She is cute, still sooo small though. You can hardly tell she is showing
Lucky girl! I looked like I was about to pop when I was only 16 weeks. Here’s a question- is it normal for celebrities to get tummy tucks minutes after c-section procedures? It seems like a lot of celerities are having c-sections when they dont really need to.

She really doesn’t look pregnant at all yet!
August 11th, 2007 at 5:20 pm
Gosh, it’s like just make a confirmation already, ‘yes I’m preganant!’ LOL
August 11th, 2007 at 5:55 pm
Yea I wonder when she will confirm it. Anyway she always has the cutest style, and since she is wearing a loose shirt you can’t even tell she is pregnant yet. I think nicole richie and christina will have great pregnancy style, probably not even need matnerity clothes since they are such small girls.

Regarding the C-section comment. I work on a very busy OB unit and we do a lot of C-S’s. Surgery vs. Vag birth, both are acceptable for the patient, But surgeries are being performed for “financial” reasons. There are increased risks for birth related problems during a V-birth, and a greater risk for suing the MD’s. OBGYN’s have the highest malpractice insurance rates out of all of the specialties (6 figures/yr), and C-sect’s have a lower risk of legal action. Sad, but that is what our litigous society has become.

i think Christina will be a good mom. She and her husband seem like the are in “real” love, not some fake hollywood “love”. I hope all of her kids get a beautiful voice like hers.

Looks like she cut the front out of her skinny jeans and replaced it with white elastic.
She’s so cute though. I can’t wait until she gets a bigger bump.

I am very happy for Christina and Jordon too. I can’t wait to see the baby once he/she is born. Good luck to the family and proud parents-to-be!!!
Hey Lorus,
I believe that the white over her pants is just her under shirt hanging down. Her pants are just normal.

Shes very pretty as usual, but she doesnt look very pregnant yet… Anyone know how many weeks she is?!
Sarah’s note: 19.
August 11th, 2007 at 8:32 pm
she doesnt look pregnant here..but from her style before she does look like she’s covering something up. I would of thought after her tour that she would announce it like nicole richie did. but oh well maybe she just wants to be private about it. but i cant wait till she does…ive wanted her to have a baby for awhile now…it’s gonna be such a pretty baby.

Sarah- Thanks for the answer. I only ask because I just had a c-section, and I plan on having a tummy tuck after my last baby/ c-section. She is so small, and so many actresses seem to have c-sections and then they are skinny again within weeks (I guess you have more pressure when you are always in the spotlight). I on the other hand, am not as skinny as I used to be
Its only been 4 months for me, but I am seriously contemplating the surgery and I was wondering if that is a common thing to do.

A tummy tuck would not be performed after birth. An OBGYN is not trained to do plastic surgery.
Many choose to do a C-section for many reasons.
Health of the baby or mother.
Complications.
Money.
But they need ot stop scheduling these for those who have the money. I mean, it’s suppose to be a happy moment, not something that you make a choice on the date.

um, a vaginal birth in low-risk pregnancies is definately safer and less risky for baby and for mom. women are built to give birth that way. vaginal birth is a normal part of life, having your abdomen cut open is not. c-sections definitely carry more risk, but they are preferred by docs because it gives doctors all the control instead of the actual mother.

Lauren- From what I have read, no, it is not normal for celebs to get tummy tucks minutes after having a C-section. Apparently, one of the main reasons is that, if a celeb opted for a tummy tuck after a C-S, she’d either have to be put completely under for the whole thing (C-S and tummy tuck) and thus miss the birth of her child, or she’d have to put completely under immeditely after the delivery of the baby so that the tummy tuck could take place (and, understandbly, most doctors are not willing to give so much anesthesia). The other main reason is that a tummy tuck is a MAJOR procedure, even more major than a C-S. Therefore, from what I’ve read, most doctors aren’t willing to do tummy tucks minutes after C-S’s.
I think the main reason a lot of celebs get so thin just weeks after giving birth is because they have the money (and the nannies!) to be able to hit the gym and/or hire a personal trainer.
Anyway, I find it very interesting that Nicole and Christina are due the same month, yet Christina is hardly showing at all, and Nicole is already showing quite a bit!

I can’t wait for her to confirm it either, but in time when they’re ready to let the world know.

How is she keeping up those blonde roots? I know you can get highlights during pregnancy and you can do non-bleach color (after 1st trimester), but I thought you were supposed to stay away from having bleach directly on your scalp, no? Does anybody know this? Seems like Xtina and Gwen Stefani both managed to bleach those roots while pg, so I wonder.

PSB, Christina is a natural blonde.
August 12th, 2007 at 6:29 am
My hair dresser told me that colouring and bleaching was fine but getting your hair permed was dangerous. However, when getting it belached you have too wait until after the first trimester.

regarding haircolor-my OB had no problem w/ me coloring my hair during my pregnancy (I lighten my hair, but not as blonde as Christina). She preferred that I wait until after the first trimester, but after that she had no problem with it. Her reasoning was that the levels absorbed thru the scalp were VERY low.
August 12th, 2007 at 8:45 am
PSB I was wondering the same thing. I asked my hairdresser for a few highlights (not near the scalp) while I was pregnant and she politely refused saying hairdressers know not to do that to a pregnant woman. This was in Italy however, not sure what it would be like elsewhere.

Thanks for responses! I wouldnt have my OB do it since he isnt trained to
I’ve heard rumor of Britney Spears did it, and I have heard first hand about Kelly Ripa. My mothers good friend worked on the set of her soap and she said that Kelly did. I do understand they have $$ so they can hire personal trainers, cooks, and have nannies watch their babies- so they are able to bounce right back. I would have liked a tummy tuck while I was already open with the c-section- plus recovery would be the same. I do understand about anesthesia and the birth of your child though. Maybe I am just being to vain and I should view my newly stretched stomach as a trophy from having kids

I think the problem is, women are forgetting that we “normal” people are not always going to have help to get rite back into shape. When i become pregnant i am not worried about how my body is looking to look. I am just going to be worried about my baby. And, we should not be worried about what these crazy celebrities are doing, because scheduling a c-section is crazy. Just enjoy what the lord blessed us to do naturally.

i’m a haircolorist at a high-end salon and regarding color and pregnancy, we tell women to discuss with their doctors how they want to approach the matter. if women are going to worry about levels of chemicals being absorbed through the scalp, they should worry about the same level of chemicals being absorbed NONPREGNANT. it’s mainly a personal preference to wait through the first trimester for color on the scalp and/or highlights. i actually worry more about my own health and safety on a daily basis breathing in the fumes – pregnant or not. also during the first trimester a woman’s body and hormones are going through so many shifts sometimes the color (scalp or foils) can take differently, and that is also a good reason to wait for hormones to slightly level out more.
so many variables during pregnancy!!!

I’m so happy for her. The two of them seem like they are very low key. I appreciate that. Hopefully they won’t expose their child to too much paparazzi…just enough so we can see him or her (I read somewhere it’s a her). I’ve been a christina fan every since she started out…like 8 years ago or something, and it’s nice to see her growing up and having her own family

dee- I didnt schedule my c-section. I was in labor for 22 hours with broken water and I never dialated past a 1. I tried to go on my own but I couldn’t. Since I most likely have to have my others as c-sections, because its safer for me now, then I would think that I might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I loved how I looked pregnant, but my stomach stretched to no end. Even though I am the same weight as before, my stomach has excess skin that just hangs. I guess I am just one of the few that got blessed with stretchy/stretch marked skin. I was fine because my son is happy and healthy, but I would like to work on myself now. I am not happy at how my body looks now, its very depressing. It was very worth it, I love my son more than anything, but I could love him just as much without a stretched out fold of skin hanging over my jeans.
