Miami Heat coach Pat Riley has no kids left at home

Miami Heat coach Pat Riley just extended his contract for three years with the team and stated that one of the factors he needed to think about was that his wife, Chris, was going to be home by herself as the kids are now on their own.

There were a lot of dynamics (going into my decision). I wasn’t sittingaround playing games with anything. I put a lot of thought into it. Ijust set my son [James] up in an apartment; he is out of the house. We aretaking my daughter, Elisabeth, up to college next week, so it will bethe first time my wife, Chris, will be alone. She has had the childrenaround, people around for years, so I gave that a lot of consideration.We talked a lot about it. We finally came to the decision that this iswhat I love doing and is also what’s best for us right now. So I’mgoing to keep moving forward with it.
