RUMOR: Nicole Richie wants to wed before baby comes
E! Online is reporting that socialite Nicole Richie, 25, wants to get married as soon as possible to her beau, singer Joel Madden, 28, to avoid having her baby bump show in her wedding photos. The source told Tina Dirmann, co host of Planet Gossip on E!,
She does not want wedding pictures of her in a big old white dress, with a big old pregnant belly.
Nicole also wants a very large wedding — the guest list thus far is at 200. The source explained,
Pulling off a wedding that size, this quickly, well, it ain’t easy.
Sources say Nicole is planning a wedding for before September 28th, which is her deadline to serve her four days in county jail for her DUI conviction. This would work out well considering Joel would be on a three week break from his national tour.
Apparently, Nicole’s dad, singer Lionel Richie, 58, has even offered his Bel-Air home as a location for the nuptials.

I’ve have always wanting to adopt and i get such negative comments from my mother..but seeing the unconditional love lione richie has for his daughter. It makes me realize it doen’t matter HOW u get your child..you love them all the same. Nicole and joel seem like they both have a strong support system in their family and friends. They will do great…

Does anyone know why she was adopted? I mean, she had parents and they just handed her right over when she was around 2 y/o? Just wondering if anyone knows the story. Cause I have an 18 month old and I could NEVER give him up. NEVER!

i believe i read once that her biological father (who i believe was a member of lionel’s band) had some drug issues and was unable to care for her, so lionel took her in. i could be wrong.

I’m not sure exactly why she was adopted, but her mother was a part of Lionel’s wardrobe group (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicole_Richie) and her dad worked in Lionel’s band (http://www.tv.com/nicole-richie/person/233153/biography.html).
