Cindy Margolis and children at the beach in Malibu on Wednesday
Model and actress Cindy Margolis, 41, poses for a photoshoot with her three children at the beach in Malibu on Wednesday. Son Nicholas Isaac is 4 1/2, and twin daughters Sierra and Sabrina, who were born via surrogate, just turned 2. Cindy began to work closely with the Resolve National Infertility Association after her GIFT procedure with Nicholas and the surrogacy experience with her girls.
One of the twins wears Gap’s whimsical border dress in autumn rose ($26.50; 3-5T only).

I love those little dresses.
I love that one of the twins is blonde and the other is dark haired. Both are very sweet though.

These are cute pictures, but I am a bit upset about how CBB referred to Sierra and Sianna as being Cindy’s “twin daughters born via surrogate”. Does it matter how these two precious little girls came into the world? I am also a bit confused as to why CBB referred to the girls in that way, since you guys seem to be extremely careful not to refer to the adopted children of celebrities (Maddox, Zahara, and Pax Jolie-Pitt, for example) as “the adopted children of *insert name of celeb parent or parents here*”
Adopted children and surrogate children are no different than biological children (I am guessing that Sierra and Sianna were concieved using donor eggs, in which case they wouldn’t be Cindy’s bio kids), and shouldn’t be treated differently.
Sarah’s note: No, actually they are Cindy’s biological children. Cindy has been extremely open about her difficulties conceiving Nicholas, finally succeeding with the GIFT procedure, and her choice to harvest her eggs and use a surrogate with the twins. She also had her own reality show on vH1 and speaks to Congress about fertility issues, therefore, I don’t have an issue with Shannon mentioning the surrogacy since Cindy likes to promote it herself.
If they were labeled as ’surrogate children’ I would, but using ‘born by surrogate’ and linking to an old story on it I don’t have an issue with. If anyone does, please send me an email.

Whoops! I didn’t realize that Cindy was so open about it. Now that you’ve explained, I don’t have a problem with it.
Sarah’s note: I’ll add additional info in the post so that it’s clearer.

Oh my gosh, those kids are so darling! I love the girls’ hair, and that young man sure does have his mom’s profile! They are beautiful.
Anyone know who the daddy is? Is he a celebrity too?
Sarah’s note: Maybe in the food world — Guy Starkman is his name. He’s a restaurateur.

I had never seen pictures of Cindy’s girls. Can’t believe they’re already 2! All 3 of her kids are gorgeous! I love Cindy for being so open about her struggle with infertility.

Aww! The blond twin reminds me of Maude, the little girl from “Knocked Up.” Both are curly-haired cuties:)

Infertility is hard on anyone but is made a little easier on those who can afford proceedures such as GIFT or other. It is hard not to be a little resentful.
