Oliver Hudson and Erinn Bartlett welcome son Wilder Brooks
Actors Oliver Hudson, 30, and Erinn Bartlett, 34, welcomed their first child, a son, last Thursday, August 23rd. Wilder Brooks Hudson arrived a few weeks before his September due date, but all is well. He is the second grandchild for Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and first nephew for his younger sister Kate Hudson, who gave birth to son Ryder in January 2004.
[The birth was a] miracle. I’m so tired, but I’m on a high, and I want to take in all of it.
Not wanting to miss a thing, the new dad says he even "happily" gets up with Erinn when Wilder is hungry in the middle of the night.
Oliver stars on Rules of Engagement. He and Erinn were married last summer.

Wilder, huh? Definitely different. Both he and Kate were different when it came to naming their kids. Ryder and Wilder. Ah, why not go the whole nine yards and just do Wylder. But that doesn’t even look right…lmao.
But, congrats to Oliver and Erinn on their son!

YAY congrats to Oliver and Erin! I had almost forgotten about these two cuz we hadn’t seen them in a while and here they are! I actually like the name Wilder…it’s not wayyy out there–it’s unique and I like that…
and YAY for Kurt and Goldie being grandparents for the second time…a second grandson =)) Congrats to the family and welcome to the world Wilder!

A lot of baby boys being born lately, but I knew goldie would have anther grandson. Interesting name lol, but I bet he is a cutie. Oliver and kate hudson are adorable siblings, and I love goldie.

I love the name Wilder! It’s so hip! It is a bit off sounding with Ryder though, kind of a mouthfull.

I was so thrilled to see that someone else had named their son Wilder, that’s my brother’s name and have always found it to be a bit out there. He loves his name though, even though he has certainly lived up to the expectations.

Wilder seems like a cute name for a baby or a little boy, but the name doesn’t seem to fit as well for an adult male, in my opinion.

Wilder sounds awfully close to Ryder. I don’t particularly like the name but now a days nothing surprises me when it comes to celebs and the naming of thier children. I was kinda hoping Goldie and Kurt would get a granddaughter (since they already have a grandson and son together) but maybe Kate can take care of that soon or a later with her new man

I too think Wilder is too close sounding to Ryder. And I don’t like it as a first name but as a middle name it could be cute. Anyway, congrats to them and their family. I’m sure he’s going to be a gorgeous little boy.

It’s Wilder as in Wild (opposite of Tame!). My stepfather had a cousin by the same name, and it was fitting even as he aged. He was a very independent man who had a huge home on the lake.

We had our son July 23 and named him Wilder Mcdermott. I thought we were the only ones!! love it!
