Tori Amos’ daughter is keeping her in line
Natashya "Tash" Lorien Hawley, who will turn 7 on September 5, helps keep her mom, Tori Amos, in line it seems.
The singer/songwriter, 44, who is known for having emotionally intense songs, was recently asked how was she going to handle it when her daughter became older and questioned her mother’s lyrics. Tori said,
Oh, we’re already at that day. Tash is 6 and wants to be a filmdirector this week. She’s hiding behind doors and filming people. Andnot a whole lot misses her. She’s just at this place where she’ll say[using another accent, British this time, like her daughter’s]“Mummy—Mind the vocabulary Mummy. You’re going to be seeing some of theother mothers from school. You have to keep ‘Tori Amos’ in line.” And Isay, “Yes, I know, right…”
Tori is married to Mark Hawley, a sound engineer.

I love it that is so cute. My daughter was born on the same day as Tori’s daughter so I feel a bit of a connection with her.

That’s also my birthday! I am a huge fan of her music, and I don’t think it could be so good if she wasn’t a bit silly.
