Her sister Ellen and Vince Carter are divorced. Ellen has custody and resides in SC, while Carter lives and works in Jersy and Orlando.

Ione’s sister Ellen and her husband Vince Carter have divorced already. Ellen has custody of their daughter 2 1/2 year old daughter Kai. Ellen lives in S.C, while Vince plays with the NJ Nets and resides in Florida.

Great story!! The children are so cute. I need to get some pointers from those Rucker sistahs – You go girls (get them pro athletes as husbands)!! You two need to write a “How To Marry A Baller” book…Smile.

Great interview. Heck, I even learned something new besides stuff about Ione and her life with Antawn and their two children, Vince Carter is married with child(ren) as well. I didn’t know that and I am NBA fan. I’ve been sloughing, I guess. (shrugs)

But her interview was great and her children are adorable. AJ looks like his dad, and he especially has his dad’s smile. And Kathryn is her mother’s clone, sharing her mother’s big smile. Cute family!

I graduated from Carolina and have had the privilege of knowing both Antawn and Vince. They are good guys and it’s nice to see them with families of their own.

Antawn Jamison comes across as one of the most down-to-earth sports figures. I actually went to high school with him, and he has always been that way. He didn’t (and probably doesn’t now) play basketball for the money or fame (although that’s probably nice, too), but he played because he loved the sport.
