"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Kim Porter says hating Diddy ‘not an option’

Tags: Dads, News, Quotes

If you suspected that the demise of Kim Porter’s relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs would be filled with fireworks you might be in for a surprise.  Kim says that the two are on good terms — as evidenced by this recent photo — for the sake of their kids, 9-year-old Christian and 8 1/2-month-old twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James.

You know how when two people go their separate ways, most of the time there’s animosity? It’s not like that with us. Sean and I have this bond, this friendship. It’s not about ‘if you’re faithful to me, if I’m being faithful to you.’ We’re friends. I’m the person he can tell his inner most thoughts to and he’s that person for me. He still calls me everyday and we talk. There’s no ill feeling or ‘I can’t stand you, I hate you, don’t call.’ There’s none of that. We have three children together so that’s just not an option. We’re committed to our children even if we couldn’t commit to each other.

Kim was coy when asked about speculation that Diddy fathered a child in the Atlanta area while the two were still together, telling Essence magazine that the rumor "definitely was part of" her reason for leaving.  Speaking of, although the aftermath of their break-up has been relatively drama-free, Kim says her exit from the couple’s home was anything but.  Waiting until Diddy was out of town, Kim packed up pretty much everything she could get her hands on — including the twins nursery furniture.

There was no other way. You think he would have let me walk out the door? He wouldn’t have wanted me to go … I wanted to be dramatic. I wanted him to know I wasn’t breaking up with him for two weeks-or maybe leaving for two days. If I pack up everything — twins and all — it means I’m out! Puffy’s an action person, not a talk person. So I had to have an action. Telling him, “Babe, I’m leaving…” was not gonna do it.

Kim has a 16-year-old son, Quincy, from a previous relationship; Diddy has a 13-year-old son, Justin, with hairstylist Misa Hylton-Brim.

Despite what everyone thinks about Kim and Puffy, I credit them for staying cool with each other for the sake of their kids. How many celebrity couples(and couples period) have we seen split up and then just completely act a fool despite the (possible)effect that it has on their kids? I’m glad that they are making the effort to remain cordial, and even remaining friends. Their children will appreciate it in the future.

  2. Shoeaddict Says:

Of course HE’S acting “cool”… She is the bigger person for not holding a grudge. He doesn’t have a reason to be mad.

And why, oh why, did they name that baby girl Jessie JAMES???

  3. Destiny Says:

LOL…I said in a previous post that I wasn’t a fan of either of the girl’s names even though I do think they are beautiful.

But as for the other part, unfortunetly some men don’t need a “valid” reason to trip on an ex. Some men would be upset just because she took everything and ran, even if he was to blame for the breakup. I can just imagine his face when he walked in the house(if no one told him first) and it was bare. After all the mess he seemingly put her through though, all he could really say was “Dang, Dang, Dang!!!”, but you know it had to hurt. I’m just saying though, I am glad they are both “acting” like they have some sense.

  4. PSB Says:

This couple is far from over IMO. Why would she care about making a “dramatic” statement unless she wanted to get some kind of a reaction out of him? People who want to leave just leave and don’t worry about creating a dramatic impact on the other person. I think these two will always break up and come back together. Maybe one day, when he’s old and worn himself out, he’ll be able to stay put and be a decent husband to her. She obviously still loves him.

  5. gabriella Says:

They will get back together, kim always goes back to him.

  6. Autumn Says:

PSB & Gabriella, I totally agree. Why Kim came back to P Diddy even after his whole infamous relationship with JLo, back in 1999 or so. (If Diddy & Kim’s son Christian is 9, that meant that he was born 1998 or so.)

So yeah I can see them getting back together someday soon, although marriage will only come for them once (or if) Diddy quits being such a committment phobe!

  7. Just me Says:

Didn’t she confirm in this interview that Diddy indeed has a kid with Sarah Chapman? That Diddy himself told her after the twins were born?
