Angelina Jolie and Zahara’s matching purses
Actress Angelina Jolie, 32, and her daughter Zahara, 2 1/2, carry matching Valentino purses as they leave the playground this morning. Purseblog talked to a Valentino rep, who says the mini-purse was specially made for Zahara. More photos at Just Jared.

What’s up with Zahara? She always has the same expression on her face and I’ve never once seen her crack a smile. Pax doesn’t seem to smile either. Or Shiloh. Maddox does once in a blue moon. I know they are all cute and we all love them, but are these kids ok?

Why a 2 1/2 year old needs (probably a very expensive) Valentino purse is beyond me but whatever! It’s cute but a bit much!

omg! this is the cutest thing! I love it. It doesn’t get anymore mommy and daughter (with out being chessey) than matching purses.

Z’s purse is really a Valentino? For a 2-yr-old??
See the thing is, I can’t even cricize Angie for that, even if it were gold-plated. She is so generous to people in need.
Sarah’s note: We don’t know if it really is. If it is, I doubt they bought it. The bag companies ‘place’ (i.e. give) celebs the bags so that hopefully they’ll use it and it will become popular. Maybe they saw Angelina using it and sent a little one to match? Who knows.

If you added up the cost of Violet Afflecks neverending amount of shoes it would probably equal the cost of that purse! And you know, if I had that amount of money, and gave over a third of my income away, then I really would not feel bad at all about splashing out on something fun for my daughter.

Valentino probably made it as a gift for Zahara. I’m sure they are selling like hotcakes since AJ started carrying this bag. She does sell for the fashion designers — for good or ill!

I think its adorable, and I don’t think it really matters if it is an expensive, designer purse or not. To have one matching Mommy’s is adorable.

I just saw this pic on another site and someone claiming to be a professional photographer swears that Z’s purse has been photoshopped in. He said the lighting is all wrong on Z’s purse versus the rest of the photo. I don’t know. Maybe it’s the power of suggestion (and I’m especially gullible) but after reading that and looking at the pic more closely, it does seem a bit off.
Sarah’s note: Don’t think so. The photos are on multiple agencies from all different angles, all with the purse. Also, they sell the photos to sites like us and magazines, and could get in legal trouble if they were altering photos pre-purchase.

LOL, Stephanie, I looked and I think it’s just light seeping through her sunglasses as she has her head tilted.
But I think it’s cute that she and Z have matching purses. Next time I’d just about roll on the ground if they had the purses and were dressed similar.

I remember when my four sisters and I would dress exactly like our mother when we went to church. We even had the exact same hairdos!!! People would always say how cute we were. I always thought I was “da bomb” because I looked like my mommy. Zee is so adorable with her matching purse. Probably feels so grown up!!

Awwwwww… that is too cute for words! I bet Valentino is going to have to market the mini-bag now. Every mom on the Upper East Side is going to want matching bags for themselves and their little princesses after seeing that photo. I wonder how much Valentino would charge for the little one?
Miss Thang is going to be a little heartbreaker when she’s old enough to date. The boys will be breaking the front door down.

It was written on purseblog.com that the purse was made specially for Zahara by the people who work for Valentino. I guess they saw Angelina wearing it decided to make a mini version for Z. She’s adorable!

They do look supercute. What I like about this is once Z gets tired of it – she probably won’t though – they’ll probably give it to Shiloh if she doesn’t have one of her own. It seems that the Jolie-Pitts are very down to earth in that they save clothes from the older children for the younger children to wear. I like that about them – not to say they aren’t a “real family,” but it’s a very “real family living on a budget” thing to do.
And the purses are gorgeous. I wish I had $1600 to throw down for one, but I think the feds might frown upon my use of student loan money for purses…

I love it too! I have a friend who got her 3 year old matching designer sunglasses. SO adorable! She also let her use one of her old Louis Vuitton purses. And Zahara is so beautiful, it’s unreal how stunning all of their children are!!!

I seen the sandals that Zahara is wearing today and the name was minnow. The guppy ones had little fish cut outs on the top. I just thought you might want to put that they were minnow instead.
