Details emerge about Federline boys’ birthday party
TMZ has an exclusive photo taken from within the dual birthday party recently held for 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James Federline. According to the site, Kevin Federline hosted ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson and the boys’ siblings Kori, 5, and Kaleb, 3, at the fete, in addition to the boys’ maternal grandparents Lynne and Jamie Spears, as previously reported. The Cars-themed barbecue was stopped in order for guests to view Britney Spears’ MTV Video Music Awards performance, but the television was "quickly turned off" once VMA host Sarah Silverman called the boys "beautiful mistakes" in her opening monologue.

Oh, man. As much as I have zero respect or sympathy for Britney, if that story about everyone at the party seeing the monologue is true, that’s terrible. I see Sarah Silverman’s point, but that’s exactly why she never should have said it.

It is so sweet to see this photo. Those boys look truly comfortable with their daddy.
In light of all that’s going on today (which I feel has NO place in this forum today so I will mention no specifics) I will just say that my prayers are with the whole family and for those two beautiful children.
I hope what’s best for THEM will be the outcome!

I agree. I will say that I thought Kevin throwing an intimate family-only party was a good idea… that it was good he wanted the kids to see their mom perform, that it was good he turned it off when Sarah Silverman made that comment.
However, I’m now staying out of the argument about which parent is better.
I have my opinion, but am staying out of it now that it gets ugly easily and letting the justice system handle it.
I think the boys are sweet and they definitely looked comfortable with their father.
I bet they had a ton of fun with their brother, sister, grandparents, and their brother and sister’s mom.
I hope they ate cake, opened gifts, and had a great day!

excuse me but, why did Shar have to be there??? Seriously…if my ex threw a party for our kids and his ex was there…I would be PO’d beyond belief whether they had kids together or not. Drop Kori and Kaleb off and leave. I find it utterly ridiculous for Shar to be involved. Kori and kaleb are brother and sister to JJ and SP, she has NOTHING to do with celebrating their bday. Other than that, the party looked great. I bet Brit did the same low key thing at her house too, we just haven’t seen any pics. Which, IMHO..is a good thing.

How was Shar Jackson at the party? She was at the VMA’s in Las Vegas!!!
Also- I am by far not a diaper expert, but from another website, there were comments that SP diaper was way too small. Does anyone know if that is the case?

They’re probably saying the diaper is too small because the front and back of the diaper do not meet.

jillian, i was wondering that about his diaper too. I am surprised nobody has commented on “put some clothes on those boys”. If it were Britney letting them run around in diapers I am sure somebody would have said something.

I don’t see a big deal about Shar attending. They had children together and Shar is a part of Kevin’s life through Kori & Kaleb. It’s best that they all learn to get along like adults and blend the family.
However, it sounds like a nice party and would’ve been fun for the boys.

Britney and Shar get along so what’s it to anyone else is she attended the party? Maybe they can act like adults for their children’s sake even if others can’t.

Are you serious? Why SHOULDN’T she be there?So she should have absolutely nothing to do with the kids because they aren’t hers? Give me a break. What about all those times when Britney was photographed with Shar’s kids? So she shouldn’t have had anything to do with them either, because they weren’t hers? If Kevin and Shar can get along well and act like adults, there is absolutely no reason for her NOT to be there. They are all related and a family in some way.

Shar shouldn’t be around Sean and Jayden. She said a lot of mean things about Britney and she even laughed at her kids (the video was on Perez site). I’m sure that when the kids will be older they will hate to be around this lady.

I do not for the life of me understand why these kids are always pictured in their diapers. They look well taken care of with Kevin, but seriously, put some clothes on the kids. He surely can afford them!

I am not sure if TMZ’s updated their post but it doesn’t say that Shar was at the party, just that her kids with Kevin were there, but since she was at the VMA’s in Las Vegas that day I would say she wasn’t at the party.
And who cares if the boys are running around in their diapers, isn’t that one of the glories of childhood, being able to run around without cares. Plus they are in their own backyard, so I say let the boys be comfortable.

I think it’s terribly sad that Sarah Silverman made a “crack” at Britney’s expense, using SP and JJ. You can only imagine the awkward moment this created.
And I don’t see the big deal with the diapers either. Babies feel more free without clothing, and seeing as it was their day, why not give them that freedom. I these had babies in my neighborhood that always took their diapers off to run around in the yard, and the neighbors were used to it. The girls grew up, and are perfectly fine.
