Update: Brad Pitt talks to USA Today about more children and the paparazzi

Actor Brad Pitt, 43, is making the media rounds in promotion of his new film The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. In so doing, Brad has talked to USA Today and the Associated Press (AP) about his family and the influence the paparazzi has on their lives, as well as the possibility of more children. Brad and partner, Angelina Jolie, 32, raise four children; Maddox Chivan, 6, Pax Thien, 3 1/2, Zahara Marley, 2 1/2, and Shiloh Nouvel, 15 1/2 months.
One interview took place while Brad was in Toronto and he had already been away from his children for two days. Two days too many.
Two days without the kids [he mutters, shaking his head.]
The main thing that concerns Brad is the presence of the paparazzi around his children. Though he does insist that he understands the nature of their work.
I understand the deal [of the paparazzi]. It got chaotic last night, but there was genuine happiness, and it meant something to them. It only bothers me when they get in the kid’s faces.
Brad also mentioned that he and Angelina are not done in adding to their ever-expanding brood.
We’re certainly not done. They say, ‘Any plans for a fifth?’ And I say, ‘And a sixth, and a seventh, and an eighth, and a ninth.’ That’s my answer…
The couple have spoken in the past about how much they enjoy a family bed. Brad said that although their custom-made 9-foot wide bed is "just big enough" to fit the family of six, more children means the co-sleeping accommodations will need to be re-visited.
One more and we’ll have to go to 11 feet.
However, an interviewer with USA Today did question how the constant travel and movement effects the children.
We just take turns and make sure we keep the family together. It’s impossible for us [to stay put]. We’re run out of every majorcity. There’s just too many paparazzi. There’s always cameras in thekids’ faces, yelling their names. Angie gets out of the car, and theytake the camera down to the curb and shoot up [her skirt]. It’sunbelievable…there’s a constant negotiation in how to survive and howto maintain a family life.

I really wish a social psychologist would study Brad Pitt and tell us why he elicits so much hype and hoopla. It has followed him in every relationship and movie. Why HIM?

He sounds so frustrated by the photogs. Not that I blame him. The cameras would be bad enough but it must drive him and Angelina nuts to have all the photogs calling out to the kids. I remember a video of Angelina leaving a bookshop(?) with Shiloh and Maddox a while ago and the crowd was just crazy yelling out to them (Shiloh especially).

As much as I love seeing photos of my favorite family, from the sound of it, the paparazzi need to back off. I mean, they’re all up in the kid’s faces, yelling their names! No one wants that for their children. What’s more, the kids think it’s normal; that it’s how every family lives. That would certainly narrow their view of the outside world, and goodness knows Angie and Brad want them to have a broader view than that. Every time they get a new kid, they sell their photos to magazines but even that’s not enough. So yeah, the paparazzi just need to tone it down. Angie and Brad have been incredibly tolerant of them.
(And I can’t picture Brad doing what Jude Law did, but you never know…. just kidding

Yeah celebs go through it all the time Brad…the only time they go crazy is when they take the kids to really public places (eg. toy stores). The Beckhams did that once when they came here, I can’t see them doing it again.

But they should be able to go to public places and not get hounded by the media and everyone else. What child doesn’t like a toy store? And what parent doesn’t enjoy taking thier child to one? the paparazzi do it for money, it’s all about greed.

Wow…I am feeling pretty bad for them. I think specially with the danger element, of having so many people close to your kids all the time, it must be pretty frustrating. I hope they are able to find a balance. Maybe when they settle in New Orleans, there will be less craziness.

#1, Preesi..He is a MAJOR, movie star, known all over the world. This is due to his career as an actor.
I hope Brad’s remarks answer questions some bloggers ask about why all the children aren’t at one event. I imagine they will have to move to a location somewhat like the one where Shiloh was born. I do love seeing and hearing about this remarkable couple, but I guess I would survive if the ‘razzi backed off..I wish they would!

And a custom-made 9 ft. bed? Well, of course,I think Shaq’s bed was about eleven ft bigger. But still, I’d love a custom made bed, even I would need to have someone custom-make me bedding for that.

Well he did comment that the paparazzi seem to like them, that there’s genuine happiness. I guess it could be worse. They could be following them and hoping for them to split up or something negative. But yes, it must be really hard to manage 4 young kids with the madness that follows them.

Brad was not talking about the paparazzi liking them and being happy to see them, he was talking about the crowd at the Toronto Film Festival a few days ago. Here what happend according to Lainey Gossip.

Following the premiere of the Assassination of Jesse James, Brad and Angelina were supposed to head over to Amber for the private after party. It’s late, around 11 or so. They were in the car when they were spotted by the crazies. All of a sudden a mob surrounds their vehicle and people are jumping out of their own rides from across the street, stopping traffic just to get close. At one point, there were a few freaks who had actually climbed ON to their car, completely blocking them from being able to drive away.
As they tried to inch forward, some lady with a baby comes running, pressing her kid UP AGAINST THE WINDOW OF THE MOVING CAR!!! Brad’s publicist jumps out – she’s like: get your baby away from the car, someone is going to get hurt!!! And you know what the woman said? She said, “I don’t care, I want my baby to see Brad!!!”

So anyway, Brad at this point is pissed – he could be seen screaming at his driver: Drive! Just drive! And Angelina had her head down repeating her mantra: Get back to the hotel. Get back to the hotel. Get back to the hotel.
Which is why they diverted back to the Park Hyatt and held court at Roof II along with every other celebrity in town. But while the two were certainly shaken at the time, I’m told inside they seemed relaxed and relieved and ready to kick back and party. But also eager to get the hell out of town.

He is thinking of 8 or 9 kids, work on seeing how you like having 5 kids in the future first. It’s like a collection for them, keep getting kids till no end lol. As for brad’s appeal he is a cute guy and a good actor to me, I think his appeal is all the different type ladies he dates jennifer, angelina, gwyneth, robin givens, their all in the spotlight, but were and are all so different. Thing I never like about him is he morphs into whoever he is dating lol. When he was with gwyneth, they even looked alike, with jen they sounded alike, now with angelina he sounds just like her. I wanna see who the next actress he gets with, how his personality will change again lol.
