   “I can’t tell you his name because he hasn’t got one”

   well if you don’t know yet, use an inclusive gender-friendly term, then!!! I cannot stand the “his” that people still use, in order to refer to a person. It could very well be “her name”, eh?

   appropriate for 2007: “I can’t tell you the baby’s (or its) name, because s/he/it hasn’t got one”

   I loved him on kids TV quite a few years back, I have 2 girls myself now, lovely to hear he’s having a family now.
