My second post on the JC Penney-sponsored Fall Shopping Guide is up. I’m really excited to give exposure to this line I just discovered — Ethnic Inspirations by Marshae. Ethnic Inspirations is sells inspirational art prints, artistic borders, murals andcoordinating bedding featuring children of various culturalbackgrounds. As a white girl, I too often take for granted how easy it is to buy books, cards, art, decor, etc. representative of people who look like me — other cultures are not so lucky in this respect.
Check out my post and then check out the other posts by great parenting bloggers like Dooce, The Mommy Blog, Amalah, Parent Hacks, Sweetney, and Confessions of a Pioneer Woman, plus home improvement blogs like Craftzine and Paper Napkin.
Note: I am contributing to a fall shopping guide sponsored by JC Penney. While I am being paid to write for the shoppingguide, I have complete freedom to review what I wish. Since I just came back fromthe ABC Kids Expo and learned about lots of great baby and kid stuff, I am focusing on those lines. I hope you enjoy these reviews.

Thank you so much for the information on the ethnic inspired designs. I am an avid reader of your site and it is really nice that you are mindful that your readers are from various backgrounds. Keep up the good work.

Wow! Thanks so much for posting this info. I’ve been looking for ethnic images to decorate my little girl’s room with for about a year now.
She’s at the age where she is aware of the differences in skin tone and hair texture so this will be great for her self-esteem.

Yes, thanks for sharing this. It really is not that easy to find decorations and such with people of different backgrounds.

While I do contribute to this site (and thereby may appear biased), I feel compelled to say how proud I am to contribute to a blog that recognizes the beautiful diversity that exists in the sisterhood of women and mothers. Good job!

The paintings, the bedding, everything on the site is adorable and well-crafted. I am tempted to buy some of the things on the site even though I have no children’s bedroom to decorate them with… Maybe another time…♥
