CBB exclusive: Joel Madden and Nicole Richie dish
We’ve chatted again with our CBB-exclusive source, who first confirmed the Richie-Madden pregnancy for us back in June, and has been giving us intermittent updates since. The latest:
They’re just absolutely over the moon about being parents.Joel comes home with something new he bought for the baby or thenursery every night. He says they both love talking to the baby, andthey play music for it.He still tells me that they are engaged (she isnot wearing a ring in public though, just to keep away tabloid rumorsabout a wedding), and definitely plan to marry, but they’ve got no timeframe for it. Definitely not before the birth, and they’re thinking itmay be even up to a year or so after, depending on how everything goes.They really don’t discuss wedding plans that much. Nicole knows howmuch he loves her, and they’re in heaven with their current situation.
Theystill don’t know the sex, and Joel says they are pretty certain they’renot going to find out. Overall, I’ve never seen him so happy. I’veknown him since we were teens, and he’s just a completely differentperson now. Head over heels in love, and absolutely ecstatic overfatherhood.

That is such a nice update. Thanks so much for posting. They really look happy in public and i can’t help but call them a match made in heaven
As for being engaged, I would really love to see Nicole’s ring.
I have been a Nicole fan since the start TSL and i have noticed that she is so much more ptrotective of everything now. Before she used to be so open to showing her fans stuff about her life and things, that was when she was with DJ AM. I guess the press has made her think twice about that now.

I think it’s cute they want to be surprised about the sex of the baby. They seem very happy and I wish them both well. I cant wait for Nicole to have the baby!

This disturbs me. Is this source supposed to be a friend of Joel? It is so wrong to talk about your friends to the press.
I was wondering the same thing about your source that told you about Christina Aguilera.

Um, just a few days ago Joel said they’re not engaged though. Plan on getting married, but not yet.

I know you can’t say but I am so curious where your source is from because it sounds like this person may have gone to High school with Joel. I am from near there (actually still live there) so thats why I am so curious.

That is such a beautiful picture of them, so sweet! I can’t help but wonder how Hilary is taking all of this…it would kill me, even I didn’t like my ex anymore, it’d still sting.
