MLB hopeful Alexei Ramirez and family
Alexei Ramirez, a Cuban baseball player, was photographed with his wife, Mildred, and their daughter Alexa, 4 months, and son Alexei, 1, at a press conference on Thursday, September 20. The 25-year-old will apply for citizenship in the Dominican Republic so that he may enter the MLB as a free agent.

I think the ‘Alex’ thing is a bit overdone. What nicknames could they get? Al? Alex? Lex? Like really, there’s honouring a family member with a name then theres just going overboard. Next one Alexandra? Alexander? Alexis? LOL

I think naming not one but TWO kids after yourself is really narcissistic. It’s like the dad of a friend of mine, Jim, who named two of his sons James and Jameson. The little boy is adorable though.

I don’t see a problem with the names. It’s his kids, he should name them as he and his wife sees fit. If you love your own name that much I see no reason why you shouldn’t pass it on to your kids!
