Melissa Etheridge’s twins have their own language
Singer Melissa Etheridge, 46, and her wife, Tammy Lynn, 32, weren’t sure what their twins, Miller Steven and Johnnie Rose, would be like when they arrived 11 months ago, but it seems that the couple’s son and daughter are happy to just be with each other. Melissa said,
They have their own language, they are more content to be with each other. With twins, it’s like you’re in their life.
Melissa revealed that Miller and Johnnie get along differently with each parent because of their twin relationship.
Even their relationship to each parent is different because they have a relationship with each other at first.
And while the twins are bonded too each other that doesn’t mean that their personalities are the same. Melissa revealed,
You can put the same thing in front of both of [the twins] and theywill do completely different things. He will see if he can break it, ifhe can throw it, and she is going to contemplate it, see how she canmanipulate it.
Melissa has two older children, Bailey Jean, 10, and Beckett, 8 with ex-partner Julie Cypher.

I had to laugh about them having their own language. When my twin nephews were little (they are now 15) they used to have their own language. You wouldn’t be able to tell what they were saying but they would have conversations with each other and would know what they were saying to each other even if no one else did.

I laughed too because my older brothers are twins and they are 18 months older than me. They had their own language and would only talk to each other and totally ignore me. I didn’t talk out loud until I was 3 years old. Not because I couldn’t but because I had no one to talk to!!! My poor mother had her hands full with boy twins!!! Finally, they went off to pre-school, I got more attention and I just started chattering away, in full sentences. My mother said she almost cried when she heard me because she thought I was “slow.”

I have twins sons and I must say, watching twins with each other is an amazing thing! There is nothing like the bond between my identical twin boys.
