MLB player Chris Bootcheck welcomes daughter
Chris Bootcheck of the Anaheim Angels and his wife, Jina, welcomed their first child, daughter Marin Lilly, on Thursday, September 20. She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and 19 inches long. The 28-year-old dad knew that his life would change, but didn’t realize that it would happen as soon as he held his daughter.
She stared at me for like three minutes straight. It was 10:51 a.m. onSept. 20. It’s something that hits you in ways you can’t even explain.You just know your life has a lot of new meaning. Being a father, it really does change you — overnight. There’s just something different about your life.
Chris reports that both mom and daughter are doing well.
Jina and Marin are both doing great. We talk all thetime, and it’s amazing to hear a baby in the background. I used to hearour animals during our phone conversations.

Wow, beautiful name! Marin is in my second favorite girls name!
