Anthony Kiedis and Heather Christie welcome son Everly Bear
Red Hot Chili Pepper rocker Anthony Kiedis, 44, and his model girlfriend, Heather Christie, 22, became first time parents today when they welcomed their first child, a boy, early this morning at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Anthony’s father has announced the name as Everly Bear, and says he has ‘2-3 inches of jet black hair.’
On Monday, the couple was spotted walking in Beverly Hills (below). Later in the day, Heather went into labor and the couple welcomed Everly on Tuesday. The pregnancy was announced in May.

I’m not totally enamoured with the name, I have to admit, but I think the ‘B’ bit is really cute, I’m assuming this is for Anthony’s father Blackie. I can’t wait to see pictures of the little boy, with Kiedis genes he’s gonna be gorgeous, I’m sure

I’m a little disappointed in the name. I kind of like it, and it definitely seems to fit his/their style. Yet, with everyone clamoring for the offbeat name they thought Anthony and Heather would pick, I was kind of hoping for a Robert or a Jack.

I am so happy that A.K. finally had a baby…he’s waited a long time. I bet the baby will be gorgeous of course. The name though “Everly” for some reason sounds like Beverly… I wonder if they named him after Heather’s Mom or something. Creative name!

This is just awesome ! I’m so happy for the couple. Everly is such a cute name, and unique.

i am happy for both of them i just wonder what the grandparents think it is hard to be parents and then with the age difference and her not really being on her own. i have2 daughters and iwould be a little concerned it they came to me and he is 20 plus yrs older and i am having his baby. i pray they both did it for the right reasons i dont see them lasting. prove me wrong. but i have been married for 10 yrs and it has taken its toll. only time will tell.
