Melissa Etheridge: “I don’t think anyone masters parenthood”
Melissa Etheridge is marking big milestones in her life — she releasedher tenth album, The Awakening, last week, has received the three-year allclear from breast cancer and her twins, Johnnie Rose and Miller Steven, with wife Tammy Lynn, 32, will turn one on Oct. 17. The46-year-old, who also has two children, Bailey Jean, 10, and Beckett,8, with ex Julie Cypher, talked to OK! about the first year ofmotherhood with double the duty.
The twins are the most beautiful babies in the world! They’re extremelyhealthy and full of love. They’re just starting to walk and figure outwords. And, of course, they’re geniuses! Babies are tough work. Havingtwo is relentless — it’s double the joy, double the fun. I don’t thinkanyone masters parenthood. I think being a parent is knowing how tolove. Sometimes love is discipline, sometimes it’s humor, sometimesit’s listening. Having children is the most rewarding thing in my life.
As for Tammy, the rocker calls her a "supermom."
She’s really good at running a house. We need help making sure there’senough food because it’s twice as many diapers, twice as much food.
