"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Eva Mendes wishes for bilingual children

Although Eva Mendes strongly denied recent pregnancy rumors, the Cuban-American actress still has children on her mind. Eva, 33, already referred to her future child as “her,” and emphasized plans to ensure her girl is bilingual.

I would teach her Spanish. But first, I’d study up on mine — it’s Spanglish and very improper. I’m not sure what I would teach her about culture. That’s probably why I don’t have kids yet. I feel like I need to go to Cuba first — whether Castro is in power or not — and figure out some stuff on my own. I guess it would be fun to go with my daughter and find out together.

Eva shrugged off pregnancy rumors earlier this month after photographers snapped her leaving a pre-natal yoga studio sporting what appeared to be a tiny bump. Eva explained the change in her physique, asserting the “off-season” allowed her to enjoy more pasta and desserts.

THAT STRANGE TO HEAR THAT COMMENT FROM HER.
SHE WAS ON A TALK SHOW A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AND SHE SAID SHE LOVED CHILDREN, BUT SHE DID NOT WANT ANY OF HER OWN. SHE WOULD ENJOY HER FRIENDS KIDS, THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH FOR HER! SHE SAID KIDS TAKE UP TOO MUCH OF YOUR TIME.

my 2 yr daughter is bilingual and is amazing how she can learn spanish and italian so fast! I love to listen her speaking my language with me and italian with dad :)
I hope she will learn english at school so she will be able to speak three languages :)

  3. FC Says:

Just because she’s voiced that she doesn’t want any right now and is content to play with her friends’ children, doesn’t mean she won’t change her mind later on. It’s been known to happen…;) Even I’ve changed my mind on the whole thing. I never used to even want any children, and I loved them dearly, but now I may end up with one, two a few years from now.

Hmm, and with the “her” references, seems she wouldn’t mind having a girl as her firstborn. Me, too!

  4. Orli Says:

should be easy enough if she’s fluent…I’m bilingual…and now my son is bilingual. We make sure to speak one language at home, and the local language he can get from day care.

  5. Ilona Says:

Learning another language should be no problem for kids, my brother and I spoke Hungarian at home then English at school.
Now my Italian husband and I are doing the one parent-one language method, then later my son can learn English at school!
